Guesser,

Domestic violence is no laughing matter, and being from Brooklyn I am sure you have seen the results of Italian men beating up on there wifes. Kobe Bryant needs to pay for this, I just hope the people of Colorado are not star struck.

You gotta give it up for Railbird. I think he might be one of the greatest message board trolls ever. I mean, Kobe's "violent history", Elden having heart, and Van Exel the gunner being more desirable than Kobe not to mention the ongoing episode of Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous with Railbird. Keep it up rail.

I am extremely disappointed," Miller said in a statement issued before the Pacers' game against the Sacramento Kings. "I was confident the league, after reviewing the tape and interviewing those involved, would see it was clear that I was neither the instigator nor the aggressor in this incident.

"Kobe has other issues he has to deal with. This had nothing to do with me or the basketball game played on Friday evening."

The NBA suspended Bryant for "throwing a punch and fighting" and Miller for "retaliating against Bryant and fighting."

The Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal backed Bryant up, saying, "I'll hold the fort down. He doesn't have to apologize to me. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

O'Neal was suspended for three games in January for swinging at Brad Miller, then with Chicago.

Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson said Bryant spoke to his teammates earlier Sunday, explaining what happened rather than apologizing.

"In the regard of team, perhaps it (the fight) was a selfish thing to do because it jeopardizes our team at a time when we're trying to get ourselves on track at the end of the season," Jackson said. "But you never know what goes on out on that court unless you're there.

"I wouldn't say that everybody's happy that he's missing the game. No one's all right with that. But we understand what he felt was as much as he could take."

Pacers coach Isiah Thomas, who said after the scuffle that he didn't think Miller would be suspended, was surprised when he was.

"It makes absolutely no sense to me. It just doesn't add up. We lose one of our most valuable guys for two games for something that wasn't his fault. We were shocked," Thomas said.

Bryant will miss the Lakers' home games Sunday against the Houston Rockets and Tuesday against the New Jersey Nets. Miller was to miss Sunday's game against the Kings and Tuesday's home game against the Orlando Magic.

The fight took place near centre court, several seconds after Bryant attempted a three-pointer over Miller in the game's closing seconds.

Miller appeared to be walking toward Bryant after the game, apparently trash-talking, when Bryant suddenly threw a punch. The melee spilled over onto the scorers' table before order was restored.

Thomas said words apparently were exchanged.

"I saw Kobe take a swing," he said. "Before I knew it, everyone was trying to grab each other and hold each other and make peace. I don't know what they were saying or what it was about."

Ralph Nader, a low-scoring player with the Green Party, sees a man on the NBA's grassy knoll.
In the interest of fair play, Nader is urging the NBA to review the officiating in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals between the Lakers and Kings.
In particular, Nader noted the absence of a whistle after Kobe Bryant's elbow landed on Mike Bibby's nose in the final seconds of the game.
Among those in Nader's camp, this momentary bout of blindness was the final proof of a game-long bias that favored the Lakers.
In this theory, the powers that be in Manhattan, the basketball cartel of David Stern and NBC executives, sent an urgent appeal to the referees after crunching Sacramento's small-market numbers.
The missive read: "Be kind to the Lakers in Game 6."

"That's totally out of his character, but who knows," said Kareem Rush

Was Kobe actually CONVICTED yet?

I guess "innocent until PROVEN guilty" is a foreign concept to certain racist religious fanatics.

Railbird, Magic sleeps with guys?

Van Exel and Elden Campbell are old school players with alot of heart?

You say the police have evidence and what is that? Oh, Kobe blew a load on this girl after she begged him to do it?

Railbird, I know your type well - a religous freak whose life is so miserable, lame and boring that all day all you do is worry about what other people are doing and how much they are enjoying life - now go repent.

But if a feamle celebrty does something wrong, she will go to jail

Martha Stewart, Wyonna Rider, Heidi Fleiss, Amy Fisher.
------------------------------------------------

Martha Stewart... The US attorney likes the case and they don't lose much.

Wynonna Ryder... They had her on f*cking video tape.

Heidi Fleiss... Ran one of the largest prostitution rings in LA and that doesn't count the tax evasion thing.

Amy Fisher... She walked to the lady's front door and popped her in the head, for god's sake.

Everyone except Martha was an easy conviction. And the US Attorney's office has such a good conviction record because they don't take weak cases. Martha will get a fine and some probation, at most.
