cubs fans didnt have much to smile about this year, but at least the Cards fans that laughed at us getting swept by the Dodgers now know how easy it is to happen.....

The Cards clinched their Division on September 26th and never seemed to recover their mojo after that win. The Red Birds only managed to score 5 runs against The Dodgers in the three playoff losses.....

The Cards ended the season on a six game losing streak (last 3 regular season games to The Brewers in St Louis). They finished the season winning only 1 of their last 10 games after clinching the NL Central with a 6-3 win behind Adam Wainwright, his 19th and probably The NL Cy Young Award winning decision, over The Rockies at Coors Field..

Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday were a combined 2 for 8 with a meaningless 8th inning RBI for the Cardinals today.

Maybe Mark DeRosa is cursed. Must have felt like groundhog day. That's 3 out of 3 first round sweeps last 3 years, twice against Dodgers.
