Choptalk...

Did you have a play on the Cards tonight?

No I did not. Glad I didnt. Had a small lean on Rockies and passed.

Is there any such thing as being a simple fan of baseball anymore? I can enjoy greatness without having money on it.

I had HOUSTON big last year in that game that Lidge blew in the playoffs last season and I still had to tip my cap to the guy.

i laid the 130 on the RL so i was very happy with the HR.

Me too...it was my play of the night...

Did you get to hear Rooney's call of that shot?

I mute Danny-Boy and Hrabosky and listen to Shannon/Rooney...

Have to admit I was sweating my ass off when Isringhausen came in though.

Well that is why I asked...

You did not even play the Birds...had no vested interest in the outcome...shows that your a true baseball purist when you can recoginize what Sir Albert is doing in just his 6th season...

You appreciate #5...

I do too.

I love baseball...and Pujols is what is great about baseball.:toast:

wish i could've heard it....no longer in IL and am stuck watching MLB TV on my laptop nowadays. Very happy with them picking up Rooney on the radio though. Will have XM when I get my company vehicle this summer so can listen then.

there are alot of baseball purists here...
and although you may not believe it, Skinsraj28 is one of them, as hardcore about the game as any of us.

viking...

Unbelievable how nice it is to listen to the broadcasts now...

Shannon hated Hagin and loves Rooney...

They go back and forth with each other and it is enoyable to listen to...no dead air...like the past couple years...

Did you know that KPLR hired Hagin to call the games this year w/ Rick Horton? He is much better on TV than radio.

I went to the game last night...my 4th this year...you will love the new park...

Hell they even have seats for SRO!!!

Wow this thread got crazy. I love watching Pujols, but Skinsraj does have a point. Remember, to a lesser extent this happened in the political forum with Doc Mercer and look how that turned out. Pujols is the most entertaining athlete in baseball for sure, but does this mean we should make a post everytime Ovechkin or Crosby have a goal? or a thread every time manning throws a TD pass? No. In this circumstance, I agree it was warranted. It was a big time HR that won the game for the Cards. But the fact that there is a thread after every HR is a tad overboard.

Once again, I have an immense amount of respect for all the posters in this thread and I have no intentions of starting any sort of flame war. Skinsraj came in being polite and got somewhat flamed when he had a valid point. Hopefully, others see that too

Are we going to have a thread made every time he goes yard this season? It's May 9th. This is already getting annoying. He's a great player and hits a lot of HRs, we get it. Lets start to cut back on these threads till about August or so, shall we?

I love the guy, but this is annoying.

I agree, why not a Carlos Lee one every time he jacks one out. He has 14 or 15. This is faulking stupid.

The way I would equate it, and this is again no disprespect to Viking or anyone else, but this stupid Cheerleading crap belongs on some SL Cardinal message board, not in the main forum of a large GAMBLING forum.
