I disagree...because at least the shampoo thread isn't re-created every other day, and both are pretty much equally inconsequential at this point.

Someone should create a thread every time Alex Rios gets a hit, since he's chasing .400. Or every time Jonathan Papelbon earns a save.

And by the way, Carlos Lee has 14 hrs...how come nobody creates a thread every time he goes yard?

Your tagline is fitting.

Let everyone have there fun please. Sorry you dont get it.

I like the updates. The guy is amazing. but lets be realistic and say he has a good shot at 500 home runs. Outside shot at 600.

Hey, by all means, have your fun, I'm not stopping you...but I just felt like stating my opinion on the matter. It's May 9th and Pujols has a two HR-lead on Carlos Lee. He has a long way to go before he even sniffs Aaron and Ruth, let alone Bonds and McGwire for the single-season record. Should we be looking forward to a thread for every HR he hits for the rest of his career? At this point I wouldn't be surprised.

And how come nobody creates one when ARod hits one? Last time I checked, he was still the best bet to break Aaron's record...and no one even knows how old Pujols is.

Simply amazing how some people do not understand the difference from a solo HR in the 3rd inning vs a 3 run Jack in the 8th w/the game on the line...

The pressure was so much greater on Pujols in that AB than any other all night long...and...

Pujols continues to WIN games...that is why this HR was significant and unlike Jason Giambi's 1ST inning HR tonight...or Jermaine Dye's moon shot...

What the fuck are you talking about? I understand the significance of his HR; it gave the Cards the W. How come nobody made a thread about Melvin Mora getting the game-winning single tonight? He leads the AL in RBIs to give his team the lead this year. He delivers in the clutch as well.

My POINT is that a thread doesn't need to be created every time Pujols goes yard. If he had hit a single to win the game, would anyone have created a thread? I doubt it...well, maybe one of those Iowa boys who sweats the Cards, I guess...maybe. But I still doubt it.

Simply amazing how some people lack basic reading comprehension skills.

he's not saying he doesn't understand the difference Tony. he's saying he doesn't think every time Albert hits an HR a new thread is warranted.

I agree there shouldn't be a thread whenever Pujols hits an HR. A game winner? sure i'll take that...but Skinsraj has a point, it can be a bit excessive at times...

Pujols is the man.

Are we going to have a thread made every time he goes yard this season? It's May 9th. This is already getting annoying. He's a great player and hits a lot of HRs, we get it. Lets start to cut back on these threads till about August or so, shall we?

I love the guy, but this is annoying.

Don't read them then.

Your points are ridiculous. If Mora did that as often as AP, we would do the same thing. AP is already 5th all-time in game winning hits in the history of baseball and hes only 25. LETS COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES.

And please skip over tommorows thread when he jacks another.

This is some funny stuff...

This thread SHOULD have been started...

First off Carlos Lee is a fine player...BUT...

He is not even close to being in Pujols' class...

Lee: 14 HRs and 27 RBIs

Pujols: 17 HRs and 41 RBIs...not all solo shots

HERE's the key:

RISP and 2 OUTS...

Lee batting .231

Pujols batting .556

So lets give Lee the benefit of the doubt...and just leave it with runners in scoring position...

RISP...

Lee batting .310...BIG IMPROVEMENT YIPEEE...

Pujols batting .500

Pujols slugging percentage with runners in scoring position is over 800...

So all those solo shots that Lee hits in the 4th inning are nice, but he does not win games with them.

Why talk about Lee when he clearly cannot produce the damage Pujols can.

No doubt this is a positive thread and it should have been started.

Lee has 14...

But that is insignicant when u look at Pujols' OPS and RISP...

Pujols destroys Lee.

dsethi...

I agree with you...

This was another game winner...

That is why it is so impressive...no one in all of baseball delivers more game winning HRs and clutch hits than 5...

Where were you guys on April 26th when Pujols hit a SINGLE to win the game? MIA. Props to Mr. Smith and the three others who repped Pujols when he DIDN'T hit a HR. That's my point.

So yes, I'll skip over the thread next time he hits a HR...but you'll be nowhere to be found the next time he hits a SAC FLY to get the W. And that's truly the sad part about all this...well, unless St. Louis happens to be on your card that day.

Just for you I will start a thread everytime he gets a hit just to make you happy. So instead of 80 threads its now 200.

I'm going on record right now that i will start a thread whenever i want and i'll start one every time Pujols hits a HR this year if i'm watching the game on my computer. If you don't wanna fucking read it, then read some other thread. Very simple. I don't bitch about the threads you start or even ever pop off in them so extend me the same courtesy. i would also start a thread if he hit a game winning bunt, sac fly, etc.

I look forward to it.

Oh, and you going on record that he'll hit 80 this year?

And sorry if I offended you personally, Viking, that wasn't my intention.

I will start a thread if the pitcher balks in the winning runner from 3rd with Pujols at the plate.
