Probably why Nevermind is always in my CD player

Nirvana is a band you love for life, Nevermind still sounds as fresh as it did in 1991, cant say the same about PJ's ten...

In Utero is my favorite Nirvana album, Very Ape my favorite track

I was never a big Pearl Jam fan, but over the years I kinda have had a turnaround with them to the point I really like them. In other words they have grown on me

Have you seen them live? I have seen over 100 artists/bands live and they blow them all away.

Don't be bad mouthing PJazzkick(&^

I like PJ Loomis, just like Nirvana way better... love at first sight, I got into Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pixies thanks to Nirvana.

I love Not for you, Animal, Thin Air, Lukin, Do The Evolution... great tunes... there are songs of them that just dont make it for me... Nirvana has maybe 3-4 songs of their whole catalogue I dont like, Downer and Milk it come to mind...

Saw PJ live 2-3 years ago, will do again this year, will also see Tool and ACDC

Living out here in the NW , Nirvana still has the regular radio air rotation like a brand new song on a couple of rock stations..it's pretty cool.. big fan of AIC, Soundgarden, & the Pixies

I'm not sure about that..really.......

Let's not build a museum or even a statue for him yet Jake. It's like electing Russell Wilson to the Hall of Fame right now.

I'm not sure anyone in hip hop needs a museum but if there's ever something similar I think Kanye deserves a prominent spot. He says a lot of stupid shit but also says a lot of meaningful shit.

Tell us what he's done......

He's completely reinvented the genre numerous times. The guy is a stud no matter how much everyone hates him for being an asshole.

This was his 1st album. It's still one of the best albums of the last 15 years.

Kante put out a great 2nd album. It's clear the guy used to make most of the hit songs for other people.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km5_GUE5l8U

Then he went to shit for a little bit. Roughly 5 years. Put out 2 albums or so. Some solid songs, mostly commercial garbage. Bought into his own BS.

Then he completely renewed what hip hop was in his latest album. His album is completely different from anything before and it works so well.

His latest album might be his best, although I think it starts off a lot better than it finishes. There's a lull after the first half then it picks up toward the end.

You seem to have knowledge on hip hop...

I am an ignorant on the genre but I think is good music to exercise or play poker... do you think you can make up a small list of old school (80s-90s) rappers you consider to be really good besides 2pac, biggie, coolio, cypress, run dmc, public enemy, etc?

Could do last decade but your request is a bit earlier than what I know. This is about as old as I go back.

Here's a few I can think of off the top of my head:

Hate him for being an asshole but this early 1st album release from him said more than most hip hop says in an entire album. It's not perfect. Still it's a song that makes you feel something if you listen to it.

Just to fill people on that watch that video... guy got in a bad car wreck. Jaw wired shut. Decided to make an album. First album. Used to always do things behind the scenes but had time to make an album.
