JM for Friday

Guys and gals,

Hot off the J.M. presses^<<^

7/15 St Louis Cardinals [A]
LA Dodgers:smoking:
Note: We also have 2 unofficial betting series starting with the [A] bets on Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners if you wish to wager on the unofficial bets. These series are unofficial due to the high RPI difference.:ohno:

Here we go...a mighty C bet on the Dodgers. Kuroda vs. Wainright...LOL
This could be the 3rd loss on the season. OUCH!

Play with caution.

ps...have you noticed he's not documenting the Pirates loss on his website. I guess since the rpi changed, he thinks he doesn't have to document it. He sent the plays out in the email in the first place. Who knows, hopefully he'll take a vote on if we should count it as a loss or not...LOL.

Dude...SL was the play...not the Dodgers...and SL won on the A bet...game-set-match.

Hope you didn't lose too much on your fairly tale C bet.

Hey John,
Thanks bro. Hey, I wanted to ask you a question, more of on a personal advice request if you want to call it. I was reading a little on your site the other day and I noticed you said something to the effect of it took you a long time to get where your at and I guess you could say learned a lot of things the hard way. You seem to be a class act on here, as your always treating people with respect as opposed to some people.
Here's where I'd like your advice. I'm a strong believer in systems and I think they can really work, if you stick to your guns and you use the proper money mgt strategies. How did you get to the point to where you ignore all the plays of other people, touts, and so forth. Also, how did you get to the point to where you soley trust your system plays and never go against them, even when you think it will never win. That's become my problem here lately. I follow my systems for a long time, my bankroll will start looking good, and then I get a series I think there is no way it will win, and I put the money elsewhere. And more times than not, I lose it. I want to stay on the investment side of this, but there is still a little part of me, as I'm sure there is everyone where the gambler wants to come out and play, and we know where that leads.
I would welcome any advice you could give as to your past experience if you want, if your too busy, I completly understand.

Thanks in advance.

First brother...let me just say that i'm honored...I realize how hard it must be to ask for advice...since the majority of people seem to think they know it all...it really takes a MAN to step up to the plate...and for that I respect you.

Now...let's get to it:

How did you get to the point to where you ignore all the plays of other people, touts, and so forth. Also, how did you get to the point to where you soley trust your system plays and never go against them, even when you think it will never win.

A LOT of homework brother...months and months of 16+ hr days just backtesting ideas...a lot of the systems that are out there now are simply ideas that weren't good enough for me...I set out to be the best...and so I only kept the 'Best of the Best'...so for me to follow someone else, would be like betting on my ideas that I already threw in the trash...you feel me?

And as far as ALWAYS following my system plays and NEVER straying...it's simply a percentage game...A games hit 70%...B games over 80%...and C games over 90%...and this isn't just last year or the last 2 years...these are consistent numbers over the last 8 years!!!...so all my thinking is already done...I would be out of my mind to argue or go against these percentages...EVER...as soon you start doin that...just stick a fork in yourself cuz you're done...if you DO happen to get lucky and win by going against the grain...you'll only wind up doing it again and losing the next time...that's just asking for trouble...and you will NOT win in the long run that way.

You basically just answered your own question...FOLLOW YOUR SYSTEMS AND GET RID OF THE GAMBLER...it's the only way.

Had one still been following jm's .010 filter from last year instead of the .015 filter of this year, then both the SF & PITT. series would have never been considered as plays in the 1st place.

Concerning the pitt. series,jm changed his own rules again by announcing that we should have stopped play after the A bet because the rpi changed for the worse from the B bet on. Everyone played pitt. properly right from the beginning. The rpi was official at the start of the series like it was supposed to be according to his rules, & he never mentioned in his e-mails to stop play on the B & C bets. So for now, we follow his changed rule & maybe that'll be a good thing.

The TOR. v3 A bet on 6/29 should have been played on the alt. run line because of this jm rule:

"In some extremely rare circumstances, a bookie may offer a -1.5 run line even if your team is the underdog in the game. To be safe rather than sorry, you should always bet on the +1.5 run line if the Money Line odds for your team to win is -115 or less (-110 for example would be considered less). If the +1.5 run line is not offered if your team has a money line odd to win of -113 for example, then you should look for it in the "Alternate Run Line" or "Reverse Run Line" section of your bookmaker."

TOR. ended up losing by 1, & winning on the A bet. I'm not real enthusiastic about playin V3 3 gm. chases anyway. I believe that v3's were only meant to be played as 2 gm. chases.

I have yet to get any confirmation whether or not jm counted TOR. as a loss or not.
