This is Crudes version of events leading up to all of this..
Sam(standfordsam) lost 4 bets to me on that forum over the time of roughly 5-6 months.
What he would do is send it by PP. He would bitch and moan about paying but eventually would. On his last bet with me he went up from the normal $500 o $1,000. He ended up losing this as well. Once again he sent a PP, but this time, he called PP to dispute it citing he "accidently sent."
He then started some big stink that I had contacted his work. I laughed at him and stated this never happened nor would I ever do such a thing. I then started joking he worked at Panda Express. This was obviously all a joke but people started calling him PandaSam and that pissed him off.
But he still hadn't paid the bet. I continued to contact him about calling PP and rescinding the dispute. He continued to write me back saying he was working on it but "couldn't get through their automated service." I let this go on for weeks.
Then one day he is back to once again telling people i am contacting his work. This once again never happened. However, this time the mod BAS was back and i had trashed him very hard for not paying contest winners. He banned me within the hour.
Now banned Sam went to town on me. Accusing me of owing him money and saying an old stiff poster(jdeuce) had paid me, which he hadn't....
I had; had enough. I contacted Sam telling him I would really contact his work unless the bet was paid(PP dispute rescinded) and that he stopped posting on that forum because he couldn't stop lying about me. He quickly agreed.
I thought this was the end of it. But he kept coming back under ghost usernames and starting the same fights with the same people.
I would email him fining him for going against our agreement. Obviously i had never contacted his work before because why would this threat even work had i been contacting his work this whole time? Of course then he would quickly leave the forum again; only obviously to once again appear under a new ghost username.
He made up a story in order to stiff on a bet. I had his contact info from previous bets he actually made and lost. When he thought it was possible his work would really be contacted he quickly rescinded the PP dispute and left the forum.
To this day his work has never been contacted.
Not sure how you guys would treat a stiff and a liar? I couldn't care less what he posts about his feelings/politics/whatever...I however won't stand for a stiff and a liar.

You could obviously make a coherent argument BAS shouldn't be a mod here based on BAS gate (I'm not saying I'd agree or disagree with it, I'd rather see the guy make some $ personally if he is going through issues)
But think it would be harder to make argument that he's here, so Wood should be too. Wood situation was much worse. It was malicious.
