Great win for the Dutch, I was shocked at the lack of composure in the 2nd half for this Brazilian team. Considering that Dunga stressed a defense-first philosophy, they became unhinged after not being able to get a 2nd goal in the first half and all composure was lost upon the fluky own goal. Holland is a very dangerous side and look like they have a great chance to make the final.

Like the Argentines to Advance here over a German side that got a lopsided-result last game and is still young. Think the Argies are still loose at this point with Maradona absorbing the pressure and Germany has been very average in 2 of their 4 games. Should be a wide open affair here and will make for excellent entertainment, but I question if this German side is ready to play with a team that can actually score. 3-1 Argentina
** Spain -1 -103
Just can't see the Paraguayan side getting a goal here. Think this game resembles the Portugal game in that Paraguay is also based out of the back but they have been less than impressive in attack. This Spanish side has yet to gel so I will keep it a moderately sized play but I think they dominate the ball here and spend all day in the final 1/3rd. Hopefully they keep Torres on the bench to start as he has really struggled to find form and the partnership with Villa hasn't felt natural here. Prediction Spain 2-0

u would think that van marwijk would chew them out big time on how complacent they got after their first goal....the forlan goal was on stecklenburg....he moves one way and can't adjust back in time to make the save...reminded me of the goal sneijder scored v. japan....then rite after the uruguay goal kuyt almost puts in a header(which was on side!!!)....dutch went thru their typical span of lifeless futbol already...that's a good thing...will look for elia to come in fer de zeeuw..he looks a lil lost out on the pitch...especially after the kick to his face...right b4 the dutch goal they had 70% of the possession....look for them to get that back...very confident in yer 2nd half pick..... go oranje....cheers
Cheers to us buddy. The Late goal by the Uruguayan side in the 1h woke Holland up and forced them to play with their heads out of their asses and look to add offense. Hats off to a disciplined Uruguayan side but the better squad is going through today. No matter who wins tomorrow I am very excited for the Final as the Dutch style doesn't allow for many uneventful matches.

Going out of town so I will have to skip the write-ups, but it boils down to the Germans being a bit underrated and in a bigger let down spot compared to the Uruguayan side. Nothing to lose here so expecting a lot of offense as traditionally these 3rd place games have been wide open.
Like the Dutch because I think they have the offensive creativity to trouble Spain. Most teams the Spanish have seen have relied solely on the counter and the Dutch are strong enough in the midfield to break down the spanish attack. Think Spain is overvalued here considering their struggles in front of goal and the Dutch are the kind of team that can capitalize on their opponents missing opportunities (i.e. Brazil game).

Took my chances going against the Octopus and looking back I thought the way those games were played I had great value on both sides, and actually hit the Holland ATS wager. Going to take a break until American Football, and start up what will hopefully be another successful year of sports betting.
