jibba, any particular reason you are staying away from the drays? drays have dominated this team at home. royals have lost 7 straight and have been pummeled in doing so. i like the rays big tonight

Just too much juice for me. TB isn't all that good and I can't see paying 2-1 just because it's Kaz. TB has played 5 more home games than KC has played road games, but yet the win difference between those two is only 4 games. So it's a bad team with a very good pitcher against a bad team with a bad pitcher. Just not 2-1 value in my book, although I do feel confident that they win tonight.

I don't trust Webb and think he's been giving up too many hits all season, no matter who he's playing. Had the Cards without Pujols last night. The obvious choice is definitely the D-Backs, but I just can't resist Maine at home with this price against an Arizona team that is playing above their heads right now. Did keep it small for that reason though.

Indians -1.5, +123: 1.5 units to win 1.85.
Bluejays: 2.07 units to win 1.5.
Braves/Cubs over 8.5: 1.83 units to win 1.5.
Red Sox: 1.5 units to win 1.58.
Red Sox -1.5, +191: 1 unit to win 1.91.
NY Mets -104: 1.04 units to win 1.
Florida +139: 1 unit to win 1.39.
St. Louis +178: 1 unit to win 1.78.

Kept the additions smaller today because I didn't have as much time as usual to do my research (unlike the first 5 plays). Think I have solid value on all of these, but would rather play it safe tonight. Not positive how much time I'll have over the weekend to cap, but we'll see. BOL to everyone on tonight's plays.

Going to take it now and be done with it, rather than wait and risk that the line drops even further.

Red Sox +105: What is not to love about this line? We have a team that is rightfully 22-29 (10-16 on the road), playing on the road against a team that is 36-16 (18-8 at home), and they're a favorite? No matter how it turns out, and the Yankees can never be counted out of a game, this line is just ridiculous. The Sox have won 7 of their last 10 overall, and 9 of their last 12 at home. The Yankees have lost 5 of their last 6 overall, and 8 or their last 12 on the road.

The Yankees will send Wang to the mound tonight, and although he's been one of their few pitchers to have any success this year, his history at Fenway is not good. He's in Boston in 4 starts with a 6.08 ERA, a 1.73 WHIP, and a .283 BAA. Additionally, NY will be without Giambi tonight. Although he hasn't been great this year, he's hurt the Sox pretty bad (.345 against Boston this year).

The Sox send Wakefield to the mound tonight to oppose Wang. Despite the fact that he's come back down to Earth a bit recently, he's still sporting an impressive 3.36 ERA this year, to go along with a 1.24 WHIP and a .227 BAA. Part of his regression may also have to do with the fact that he's pitched only one home game since April 23rd. That just happened to be against a hot hitting Detroit team that knocked him around pretty well. He actually pitched into the 8th in that one though before finally tiring. Anyway, the fans are goin to be crazy tonight in Boston. Arod is coming off a number of stupid controversies, and seeing as how he is typically easy to rattle, I think the fans will play a role in this one. Yankees are almost done and absolutely should not be favored here. 1.5 units to win 1.58.

Red Sox -1.5, +200: Got this about 5 minutes ago. My guess is that the line will hit this number again (down to +196 last I checked), so I am not making this official yet. Will wait until I see the number back on MB and then post it. But wanted to included the play with the Sox money line play. 1 unit to win 2 (but again, not currently official as the line is not available).

I'm really having a difficult time getting ahold of this game. I know its the Sox at home and Wakefield has overall decent numbers this season, but he's been on the decline lately and gave up 6 ER and 9 walks to the Yankees last time out (2 weeks ago!)

The inflated ERA of Wang in Boston is due to one bad outing. Who knows? His other 3 starts in Boston gave up 3 runs in 6 innings (on average).

My major concern with playing the Yankees is, well, they're the Yankees. However, like you said, they can show up on any given day. Their bullpen is truly what frightens me in this game.

I was originally on the BoSox, but if I bet this game... it will likely be on the Yanks. bleccch hate to even say that.

Maybe I'll throw an action play on it to make up for the small one I lost on the Cubs. Will post tonight if I can, but not sure what time I'll be home from poker. BOL.

Paying juice to take that awful team in Boston right now is crazy IMO. But most here are on it. Feel great about the ML and RL, but go with your gut.

Well, I wouldn't be paying any juice. I'm sure when my local announces a line on the game it will be a pick. Who knows for sure.

Did you have a chance to take a look at the Minny/Oakland game? My gut tells me Oakland is the play @ home going against a rookie pitcher's debut outting.

I also like Seattle lots n lots (not as much as I liked them yesterday) but still think they get the W

Slowey has really good stuff. Would probably lean on the Twins getting + money. A's have only won 2 of Kennedy's 9 starts, and I think Twins are the better team right now. Didn't even look at Seattle today. Lot of juice to pay on them and I wouldn't take Texas except for just the right spot, as I never trust them.
