Any thoughts on the Mets, line was at -125 down to -104.

Great, Buffet is on Pitt.

I just saw BG was on them, and it re-inforced my initial thoughts on that one. I know he's not very high on Wolf either though.

As for the Mets, I still like them even without some of the big guns. Arizona has played great lately, but they haven't had to do it against teams as good as the Mets or pitchers as good as Maine. They had a day to cool off yesterday and I'm thinking they don't come out quite as hot. If they do end up with the much weaker lineup, it still reminds me of the game they played a couple weeks ago against the Cubs. They came out with the following lineup:

E. Chavez
R. Gotay
S. Green
C. Delgado
J. Franco
D. Newhan
R. Castro
C. Gomez
J. Vargas

They basically did nothing until they got past the Cubs' starter, and then bashed away on the bullpen to come back from a 5-1 deficit and win 6-5 in the 9th (with some help from the bench/starters though). Despite Webb's solid ratios against the Mets, he's 1-6 against them in 8 starts. He's pitched much better lately, but he's still not yet the pitcher he was last year. At even money, of if the line keeps dropping, as a home dog, I think I may end up biting. Just need to think it over a bit more. Can sometimes be very slow and deliberate with my plays.

Other games I'm looking at right now are the Cardinals (although may have missed too much value as the line has dropped about 20 points), Marlins (Brewers still don't have it together), Giants (Philly struggling and Morris has been far better than Eaton this year), Pittsburgh (probably only if the line gets to around +150), and maybe something in that O's/Angels game.

excellent work again last night jibba. i only went 6-4 but one loss was a dog and hit on the cards +150 and the stros, so a good night nonetheless. got burned on angels runline, which was better than laying huge juice since they lost anyway. great call on that one.

im with you on the bosox. that line is awful despite wakefields recent struggles. doesnt he have a decent history against the stankees? havent researched that.

initial reaction was cubs today. has gone down 20 pts to 160 for me. im not high on davies, but zambrano just isnt the guy he was...yet at least. i think ill just play the over in that game as i expect one of those pitchers to get shelled if not both.

love the indians tonight as well as the blue jays. probably going to take the drays run line as well. kazmir against a horrific bannister, rays at home, and playing against a team they have had the most success against in the majors.

i wouldnt bet against oswalt at home tonight. last night might have been the breakout game the stros needed. cards offense still isnt very good either.

have a lean on the rockies myself as well. any thoughts on the mariners?

nice to get back in the nba last night as well with the over and the cavs. as i said, dont think the pistons can just hit the switch whenever they want to. cavs close them out tomorrow night.

I usually just get them at Yahoo. They vary on when they get them up, but they're usually at least an hour before gametime, sometimes 2 hours. There are places that post them as soon as they're up, but I'm not sure the best place to find them. Yahoo usually is quick enough for me.

As for big lines, I've taken a couple this year, but don't think there are too many great spots where one team should be a 2-1 favorite over another in baseball. Not sure how many losing days I've had, but I've definitely had my share. Went through a very rough stretch last week (week and a half ago maybe?) where I went 1-8 in one day and lost 3 or 4 straight days. Regrouped, decided to change things up a big, try to be more selective, and play the fewer number of games for 1.5 units (most of them anyway) so as to force me to be more selective. Can't be playing every game if there's a bit more money at stake. BOL today.

Big Hustla,

Thanks man. That over must be getting killed. MB still has it at 8.5 and it's up to -139. BOL today.

Sonny,

Going to stick with the over as my only official play on that one. Actually threw half a unit on it for fun after seeing Buffett on them, as well as a couple other solid posters.

any thoughts on the under in the stros/cards game jibba

Initial lean on the Cards. Rode them to 2 straight wins as big dogs the last 2 nights and don't see why it would change tonight, even though I've been on Oswalt more times than not this season. Wainwright finally looks to be putting it together as a starter, and Oswalt hasn't been as dominating as I expected this season. His control hasn't been the same, and he's already got as many walks this year as he did all last season. The fact that Houston is awful really hasn't helped, and they've managed to lose his last 3 starts (last two = 9 ERs in 13 IPs).

As for BG, I think he's on Pitt, Florida, Toronto, Baltimore, and the Cubs.

Jibba, nice call on the over. What is your final card if you can post it, thax.

Thanks. Been running around a lot today so I haven't been able to set it in stone yet. Might end up going with 1 unit plays for the rest since I haven't had the time I normally do. Here's what I've decided on so far though:

Indians -1.5, +123: 1.5 units to win 1.85.
Bluejays: 2.07 units to win 1.5.
Braves/Cubs over 8.5: 1.83 units to win 1.5.
Red Sox: 1.5 units to win 1.58.
Red Sox -1.5, +191: 1 unit to win 1.91.
NY Mets -104: 1.04 units to win 1.

Still considering a bunch of games, but just haven't had time to really research them as much as I'd like. Have a poker game tonight, but am going to try to set aside a bit of time when I get home to give the games a last look and maybe add a couple.

BOL to everyone on tonight's card.

jibba, any particular reason you are staying away from the drays? drays have dominated this team at home. royals have lost 7 straight and have been pummeled in doing so. i like the rays big tonight

im thinking my final card is going to be over in the cubs, which just went over easily and:

indians rl
drays rl
bjays
mets
over 11 in rockies game

im banking on young starter for reds getting a hit a bit on this one. buchholz stinks and the reds have guys who can jack it out. all their games this year have gone over. leaning on the mariners, trying to find a reason not to take them. millwood faced this lineup in arlington and did fine earlier. probably will stay away. gl
