Good news folks (at least to those who care about the picks I suppose). I got done a little bit early with the NFL writing since we want to see which of the keywords do the best in terms of views so we are going to wait until after the game tonight to hit it hard.

Anyway, it means I have time for handicapping.

My predicted lines:
WVU -3, O/U 44
Washington -28, O/U 54
TCU -9, O/U 43

Bets and why:

East Carolina Pirates +6.5 -110

WVU has a new QB and an almost entirely new offensive line and East Carolina's defense shut them down last year. The Pirates have a very nice defensive line and are excellent against the run this year and should keep this game close. The Pirates also have an established offense that can both run and pass while the WVU defense was nothing special in their opener. This could be the second straight year EC pulls the upset.

Washington Huskies -20.5 -110

Idaho opened with a win but still has a horrible defense and the Huskies can move the ball at will with Jake Locker back at QB. Idaho's offense is actually decent enough to get a few drives going but I don't think it will be enough as the Huskies get 40+ here.

Oklahoma State Cowboys -14.5 -110
Oklahoma State/Houston Over 67 -110
2-UNIT PLAY

First 2-unit play of week 2 and it's a great one. Houston's offense is in year 2 of their high-powered offense and put up 34 last year. I don't think they'll get quite that high this year but anywhere between 27-34 is doable. That being said, Oklahoma State will surprise the hell out of me if they don't put up 50 at the very least. Lots of talented players are back on the Cowboy offense and Houston has no defense. Only 4 guys back from last year's team that gave up 50+ to the Cowboys. These teams will go up and down the field. Oklahoma State also has some issues in the secondary with two safeties injured and the passing game is how Houston scored last year. This is a track meet up and down all day. Over city with the Cowboys winning by 20+. The 2-unit play is on the over in case there is any confusion.

Looks like a tough break in the making for my Clemson/GT under.

Clemson can't move the ball at all and GT has scored touchdowns on:

A) Fake FG
B) 90 yard punt return
C) 84 yard run - 1 play drive


Not looking like any sort of luck is on my side. This special teams stuff is killing it.

You as well. The under in the UNC/UCONN game is looking great but UNC needs to start scoring some points to cover that -4. A TD will push and I think they can definitely do it.

What a horrible day. Central Michigan scores 10 points in the final 30 seconds to ruin my under on the last field goal. Washington gives up a last second TD to Idaho to blow my bet when Idaho had 4th and forever earlier in the 92-yard last minute drive. Should have been a much bigger day.

Still got North Texas pending.

Two straight weeks we luck out. Both WMU and EKU drove down 6, got inside our 5, and fumbled in the 4th quarter.
