Yep. Played one for Gardy last night. Didn't see that he shockingly retired. But as they say, emotions in baseball are only as good as the next day's starting pitching. Thanks for following and commenting.

I think they have concerns with his velocity. His average fastball velocity has fallen from 94.5 in his first start, down to 90.6 on Saturday. Each start this year his fastball velocity is dipping. That being the case, they may have had a smaller pitch count for him vs the Tigers the other night. I know that is a DRAMATIC decrease in velocity. Being his rookie season - they likely are going to be extra careful with him.
