I think Hinrich was a good comparison.

What makes you think Reddick can play point guard in the NBA? :icon_conf

Reddick averages as many turnovers as he does assists, 2.6 each. Not good.

I'll tell you who will be drafted way lower than Reddick but could make the right team (an uptempo team) very happy -- DEE BROWN. Lightning quick and it so happens that his 3-point % is better than Reddick's now. And bulldog tough on D too.

I don't watch much NBA, but they were very similar college players and have similar skills. He's definetely not going to be anywhere near a Nash, but he'll have his place.

I've thought a lot about DEE. He is a firestarter and will be a very good offensive NBA player. I wonder how he will be able to handle defending the bigger guards of the NBA though.

Hinrich is averaging 7 assists per game. The difference is Hinrich was a point guard in college and is now in the NBA. I doubt Reddick even played point guard in high school. He is a pure 2 guard. But without NBA size or quickness at that position.

good point D2, I'm sure you know better than me. Just sounded like the most logical comparison to me.

I think his success will depends on where he goes. A team like Phoenix would be perfect. Learn behind Nash and come in as a sparkplug. Or another uptempo team in the West. He can play halfcourt but he would be great in an open court game. He'll have som trouble with bigger guards, but he's a tough kid too. I wasn't sure he was an NVA player before this year, but now I think he can, in the right situation. Luther Head also. The one I think that will be drafted too high is Deron Williams. He might prove me wrong, but I just don't think so.

No way he's a lottery pick...but he could be a 3 pt specialist in the right spot...I think of him more like a Steve Kerr..

The more appropriate comparison for Reddick is Szerbiak. Reddick is the better shooter, and at least comparable in his floor game.

Wally is 6-7 and 235 though. What is Reddick? 6-3 and maybe 195 soaking wet. Just hard to find too many slow, skinny 6-3 two guards in the NBA to compare with.

Wally has the body down low to atleast work his way into a foul shot or get off his shot...Reddick is much more one dimensional and a perimeter player in the NBA..

Fred Hoiberg would be the best comparison, wouldn't he? Career 40% 3-point shooter, shooting over 50% this year. He's slight build, 6-5 and plays shooting guard. And is slow of foot like Reddick. He's made a decent career for himself as a 15-20 minute reserve role player. If Reddick has Hoiberg's career he should consider it a success.

And Hoiberg averaged 20ppg his last 2 years in college.

Have ANY of you guys remember Drazen Petrovic from the NETS who was killed over seas in a car carsh??? He scored 110 points in a game overseasonce. He was the BEST PURE SHOOTER hwen he played in the NBA. This is who Reddick will mirror in the NBA. Reddick is a great 3 point shooter and the best free throw shooter in the world. He will be a top 5 or 6 choice if he goes. Yes not a quick white boy but nevertheless a pure 2 guard in the NBA by far!

He actually was killed when he head butted some concrete fixture underneath the basket in a game overseas. Talk about bad luck. But yeah, if you can shoot there will be a place for you on an NBA roster. Reddick will be in the league.

As for comparisons, Nash and Heinrich are 2,000 times better ball handlers and decision makers than Reddick. I think Journeyman hit the nail on the head when he said Steve Kerr. I think Reddick's success lies on who takes him. If an NBA team uses him right, he can be a very good player in the NBA, but he has to have help to get shots, he cant create his own like the great NBA players.
