today will be one of those rare days that I cheer for Juventus. Genoa is heavy tackling, hopefully Juve earns a few free kicks just outside the box for Del Piero to do his stuff.

good luck.

Juventus at GENOA
Juventus -0.5 +117 (3 units)

Genoa tough at home, would suggest keeping your play small if you are going to back Juve. This one could end up 1-0 or 3-2, thus no play for me on the total.

Best of luck,

MA

Entering the weekend with the following season totals:

SERIE B 2007 / 2008 Edition YTD: 114W - 112L - 51T (-0.935 units)
SERIE A 2007 / 2008 Edition YTD: 171W - 139L - 77T (+155.65 units)

(there are 3 decent plays in the B - 2 biggies and 2 medium plays in the A.)

Back soon, and best of luck to all.

Just a thought:

AC Milan at AS ROMA

Flaky line wth Roma at -0.25 (?)
Same with the total, which is decently priced on the over 2.5

Imagine if AC was in decent form with a strong squad; what would the line be here? AC Milan -0.5 (?)

The reality is that AC is an old and very tired team. Too much travelling for international cups has left this unit running on fumes. The line is indicative of a smoke and mirrors road record, and the PATO factor.

You would think that Roma would play for the draw, and AC Milan who needs points will undoubtably search for three points. The harsh reality is that AC is going to get spanked hard come saturday in a game that will be high tempo for 90 minutes. Don't know what I like better: Roma or the over 2.25

Best of luck to all.

SERIE B SATURDAY<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> at MANTOVA<o:p></o:p>
As mentioned more often than not, winning on the road is a tough assignment. Mantova managed such a feat against <st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> this year with a mind boggling 3-nil result. If you are going to graduate to the “A” league, you have got to deliver in such encounters. <st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> has a pivotal match at home next week against the bombers of the south (<st1:City><st1:place>Lecce</st1:place></st1:City>), and thus must deliver here today. Drop 3 points here and you might lose again next week; such a pivotal 6 point swing could be the difference in such a tight race. Mantova has been exceptional at home this year posting 9W-3D-3L, with 27 goals scored and 13 allowed. Quite impressive really, if you consider that attendance rarely topples 9000. <st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> in excellent form with opponents held scoreless in the last 4 games; more importan is their overall sequence in their last 13 games: 9W-3D-1L, with 24 goals scored and 6 allowed. They should deliver in this situation.<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> pk +130 (6.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Lecce</st1:place></st1:City> at SPEZIA<o:p></o:p>
After last weeks tight defensive affair against <st1:City><st1:place>Bologna</st1:place></st1:City> – a game where they wasted a few decent chances to score – the bombers of the south should have the decency to stay focused against a useless Spezia side. Let me put it this way, <st1:City><st1:place>Lecce</st1:place></st1:City> has perhaps one of the best counter tandems in the B league while Spezia, despite last week’s valiant effort at <st1:City><st1:place>Treviso</st1:place></st1:City>, has overwhelming issues on defense.<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Lecce</st1:place></st1:City> -0.5 -108 (6.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Ascoli at CHIEVO<o:p></o:p>
When the game ended last week against Rimini, Chievo had check-mate status against a side that was down to 9 men. Played most of the 2nd half up a man, and they wasted chances, looked lost, and lacked cohesion; such a virus has tendency to last a couple of weeks. Don’t let Ascoli’s road record curve this equation, the fact of the matter is that they have improved tremendously. In the last 6 games they have conceded 2 goals on route to amassing 4 wins, 1 draw, and just 1 loss. If they hold at the half, the potential for a monumental upset exist.<o:p></o:p>
Ascoli +0.5 and +1 +109 (5.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>AVELLINO</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City>’s 2 red cards to Cristiano and Peccarisi are damaging. Nonetheless, <st1:City><st1:place>Avellino</st1:place></st1:City> represents the perfect – and useless – opponent to alleviate the loss. <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> with one goal allowed in the last 7 games, while <st1:City><st1:place>Avellino</st1:place></st1:City> is winless in the last 6 games with just 3 goals scored in that same span. I know this is Serie B where anything can happen, but cannot possibly envision a win for the home side.<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> pk +121 (4.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The rest of the usual suspects:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Frosinone at <st1:City><st1:place>BARI</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Bari</st1:place></st1:City> -0.5 +105 (2.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Modena</st1:place></st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>CESENA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Modena</st1:place></st1:City> pk +134 (2.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
Over 2 and 2.5 -101 (3.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
SERIE A SATURDAY<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Lazio at UDINESE<o:p></o:p>
Lazio pk and +0.5 (3.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
AC Milan at AS ROMA<o:p></o:p>
AS ROMA pk and -0.5 -119 (7 units)<o:p></o:p>
Over 2 and 2.5 -124 (4 units)

In the "B" card, <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> Brescia at PK, Lecce at -0.5, and Ascoli at +0.5 and +1, are medium plays with great value. In the "A", Roma at pk and -0.5 is worthy of a best bet.</o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Best of luck to all,<o:p></o:p>

LOL....that is a terrible avatar.

I see it 2-1 ROMA, is that so unreasonable for the over 2.5? I might be wrong (which I have been on plenty of occasions when it comes to Saturday Serie A), but this one is going to be wide open, especially in the second half.

A Domenica..

A Domenica..

I just got the tickets for Sunday night: I had to celebrate (the avatar is a sign !!!).....
I hope Roma is gonna put up a show and score like a machine, but on the other hand if Milan plays deep (as they do when important games are played), it could become a catenaccio game. I'll stick with Roma fisso,...hopefully we will be thanking you to keep Milan distant, ..as distant as possible, ----I don't trust them at all. Somehow it seems they always find a way to get their stuff together, after all they do not have Mancini on the bench, you know...LOL Good luck and thank you for the picks .

Sick win with Roma, I started getting scared for you when Milan went ahead, but it ended up going your way to hit the over as well. Nice call
