Can I ask how you decided to believe this aspect (Jesus returns with his big rapturemobile and scoops up 144,000 or whatever the saved number is), but not other parts of the bible?

I choose not to kill or steal - but thats because I believe in the golden rule. As far as covet goes...you try living next door to a 33 year old MILF with DD's and a pool and see how far long that commandment lasts.

KTV, are you trying to tell us something?

as for me, the DD's aren't necessary. I'm a moderation guy.

.

I may covet a Picasso but it doesn't mean I want an arm cut off.

Still curious as to how people come to the choice of what to believe in the bible, and what to just chalk up as metaphorical teachings.

In the begining, God created the heavens and the earth.

Science has absolutely proven this is false! The earth was not created before the sun. It didn't happen this way!

The bible says that 2 of every living creature that livith on the earth was put on Noahs ark. It's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for this to have happened. Think about it. How can 2 of every living creature be put on 1 ship? It's STUPID!!!

The bible says that Adam and Eve and their descendants and Noah and his sons and daughters LIVED TO THE AGE OF 1000 YEARS OLD OR MORE. It's totally ridiculous to think any human lived to be 1000 YEARS OLD!!! It's an insult to my intelligence. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!

The bible says jesus was born from a virgin. Once again, ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! It didn't happen.

The bible says jesus was the son of god and rose from the dead. Again, absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion.

How can anyone in this day and age believe in the 1000 year old noah and his ark and 2 of every living creature. It's a fukkin story. It's ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for the bible to be true, in my opinion!!!

Where do Kangaroos come from?

Ha ha ha ha ha! Conservapedia is high comedy.
Their entry on kangaroos, for instance, says that, "like all modern animals . . . kangaroos are the descendants of the two founding members of the modern kangaroo baramin that were taken aboard Noah's Ark prior to the Great Flood."
You may not recognize the word "baramin." It's a 20th-century creationist neologism that refers to the species God placed on earth during Creation Week. Special for kids: I wouldn't use that word on the biology final. Although maybe your parents could sue the local school board for failing to teach the Book of Genesis in science class.
More on Conserva-kangaroos: "After the Flood, these kangaroos bred from the Ark passengers migrated to Australia. There is debate whether this migration happened over land with lower sea levels during the post-flood ice age, or before the supercontinent of Pangea broke apart, or if they rafted on mats of vegetation torn up by the receding flood waters."
That must be one hell of a debate, given that neither side needs to use "facts" or "evidence" to back up its <DEL>fantasies</DEL> "arguments".

Yes or No

When you want to know the answers to questions such as this one...you should just come to me and ask me...for i am the wisest of all flesh and blood upon the face of this Earth.

The book called the Holy Bible is a collection of writings by different men that have lived upon the Earth at one time or another...put togather by a group of men sanctioned by King James of England.

If you truely want to know if anything in the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God...you first must get to know God. The more you get know God...then the more you will know the answer to your question. If you went to Africa...and you said to someone in one of those little villages...I am from America...the land of the free and the brave...They would not have a clue to what you were saying to them...just as you have not a clue in this case.

The Word of God...is every word that precedeth out of the mouth of God.
