If someone is still willing to pay him then he should stay, if he cant find anyone that will give him money then he should retire

The team is gonna lose either way, they got no good players.

It is a business and if the team is gonna be awful then fans would rather see The Kobe Show trying to chase records.

No win situation for him or the lakers.. He's worth what they're paying him, if not more for all the non basketball reasons.. At this point he has to retire a laker.. Team stinks, with no chance of getting better. He jacks up shots he's a hog, if he doesn't he's not competing.. This ain't gonna end well.. Trade is the best thing but will never happen.

takes a 34 foot shot, it's all net....... Gotta know when 2 hold-em... know when to fold-em!

My vote... Quit trying 2 b 18 or if he still thinks he can B...... go visit your girlfriend in Colorado.

He has some game left.. needs a new co-leader more than likely on a different team to kick in any mojo..

The BEST response in this thread. Murph is absolutely correct but the million dollar question is how do you go about setting up that kind of chemistry around Kobe. Can't do it by bringing in another star player no matter how good he is. It's all about chemistry and it is possible to bring in somebody who can feed off of Kobe's leadership and have such synergy with Kobe whereas Kobe doesn't mind. Problem is father time and putting in the effort by the Laker organization to find that kind of player. Kobe needs a player he can feed off of and at the same time they can feed off him. I think Kobe is capable of making that kind of transition and it's going to take somebody on the outside to recognize how to put that formula together. Is it possible? Yes. Probability, not likely.

he doesn't have much left honestly.

I mean he can still score if the volume is there like Jordan on the Wizards but overall his game isn't really adaptable to a more desirable situation. Unless he goes to another team to be a supporting player or the Lakers get stacked somehow he won't be relevant in the NBA again.

A team with him taking even 60% of the shots he takes right now isn't a good NBA offense.

How many who have responded in this thread do you think played HS or College ball vs. those who replied here, who are spectators?

I say maybe it's 4 or 5 to 12 based on replys.........

played game Murph/mark/seymour/pats fan/double deuce, BAS :think2:

I didn't count myself but I played and coached, it isn't a team sport anymore!

I played HS ball, and still play men's leagues, I currently coach HS ball, and am the official scorer at 2 different div 2 and 3 NCAA universities.

cool

I've always seen Kobe excel when he had a supporting cast which shows the game screams to get everyone involved as you can probably agree with being you play/played...... You think BAS played :think2:

Whats your played vs. spectator guess?

I have absolutely no idea what this has to do with anything but yes I did play high school Basketball and still play league ball till this day but have no idea what that has to do with this thread one way or the other.

am I required to log a certain amount of miniutes at the d1 level in order for me to think Kobe is not one of the 40 best players in the NBA?

Just curious Chop, I'm 0-2 on my prediction. Thanks 4 replying...... also wonder why when Kobe scored 44 points back in day with a supporting cast they won but today he scores 44 pts and they lose........ by 20 points?

Your prediction is on the above :think2:
