Did you actually think you were going to sucker me in to an argument? I was born at night but it wasn't last night.

Hopefully, sometime soon, you'll be taken to the top of Black Mountain via the local, and brought down via the Express...azzkick(&^:bowl:

There are FOUR Republican candidates for Governor of Illinois, and Fat Boy is going there tomorrow. All 4 are refusing to meet with him, as did both candidates in Texas. 18 more subpoenas today, including looking into the helicopter that he uses(he may have flown over the George Washington Bridge on one of the 4 days of traffic jams there). This is hilarious, his lawyer has the balls to try and get the mayors of Hoboken and Fort Lee-both of whom just happen to have leveled accusations against him-to turn over documents to HIM. The gift that keeps on giving, he's cooked, leaving schmucks like Rand or Huckabee as GOP frontrunners for 2016. Good luck with THOSE clowns, lol...

The election for 2016 is already over. Christie has no chance, and he was the right's only chance. Just read this thread for the first time. Cruz and Jeb have absolutely no chance of winning. I don't know if I am a big Hilary supporter but there are many, social issues go a long way in politics and the Dems are light years ahead in those categories

You guys just don't get it. Remember when Bill Clinton got elected. Everyone was like who is this guy. He came out of no where and no one knew much about his past. Same with Obama. Yet you guys ignore the fact that the Republicans can pull one out of the hat. I am not a registered Republican but it really should not take that much to beat Hillary if you really look at it. Romney could probably beat her and if he chose a Black as a running mate their chances would rise. Herman Cain maybe. It ain't over till it's over. But if the Dem's lose the Senate the whole game plan changes. Speculating on who the best Republican candidate might be at this point and time is just chatter. Saying x y or z have no chance of winning is ludicrous at this point and time. Did you think Seattle would win the Super Bowl like they did. It ain't over till it's over. And as far as social issues go, how is that Obamacare working out. lol

I don't think you get it to be truthful. If you think Romney could beat her with Cain, you are in denial. Just like the 2012 election when the right wing fools thought Romney was going to win. Obama was a 5 -1 favorite at one point, I told all my conservative buddies that if you are so sure then fly to Vegas and put your cash down. Romney and Cain against Hillary is a landslide for Hillary. Cruz has no shot, a Jeb Bush has no shot as well. Is there a chance a republican other than Christie can win? Yes, but its about as much chance as the Jags did going into Denver.., A 28 point dog.
Your best candidate eventually could be Scott Walker but I think 2016 is too early for him, maybe 2020.

Why do you think it won't take much to beat Hilary? I am on the opposite side, it's going to take a lot.

We are talking Hillalry Clinton not Obama. She is beatable. I am merely pointing that out. Bill and Obama were virtual unknowns nationally and they made it same can happen on the other side of the fence. I never liked Christie and we don't need another Bush. Personally I would vote for anyone who opposes Hillary. If you think Obama was political she would put him to shame. If they lose the Senate Hillary would be intolerable. Scott Walker could make a move and has a good success record as a governor. I am simply a fiscal conservative and anything liberal will just mean more debt.

Another thing for consideration. Something could pop up out of Hillary's past that could bite her on the ass. She does have Soros behind her which helps. A black female would give the Dem's a fit. How do they attack that one. lol

You back the repubs over the dems just on spending? Unfortunately for
the Republican Party you are a dying breed, the social issues have taken over, until fiscal
responsibility becomes the focus the dems will always win. Will the repubs be able to come up with someone fiscally responsible and socially appropriate with this day and age. I don't think so cause most have put their feet in their mouth at some point. I think Romney would of had a decent shot had he not been taped with the 47% stuff.

Starting to agree with you on this now...I think the Hoboken thing was HUGE. They are going to shove it up his ass and twist it good. Repubs are in HUGE trouble on a national basis. They are blind.

Social issues are big because of Obama and his agenda. Young people are waking up however and some who voted for Obama might not vote for Hillary. It is simply about drawing a line in the sand regarding spending. I started a thread on wasteful spending. We damned sure don't need to be borrowing money and wasting it (Solyndra et al). Romney could not have fought off the Senate even if he had won. He would have been limited at best. We now have a hands out society. If the Republicans get the Senate that might be a prelude to electing a president also.

Your initial hunch on him was correct, let us not forget his scintillating predictions in the last general election, but WE'RE the ones who don't get it...:pointer::ohno::missingte:nohead:$$:($$

As the English say, "quite." For a guy who was a very successful prosecutor, it's amazing how bad a liar he is, and how oblivious he is to how bad the stuff he and/or his staff put out :

I didn't know anything about this until after it was over
(ridiculous on the face of it, but soon changed to, I didn't know anything about this BEFORE it was started. So, either you're a liar, or the most incompetent and clueless politician since, oh, Ulysses S. Grant, take your choice)

The Fort Lee mayor was not on my radar(that's why your staff had special instructions not to take his calls and he only got through by calling from a different phone, right)

I didn't know Wildstein well( despite knowing him since high school, that's why you were often pictured with him and created a special job at 150k per year for him, with NO job description, and a job which was eliminated the second he resigned, righ?t)

Speaking of Wildstein, the attacks on him were so amateurish-"his social studies teacher accused him of deceptive behavior," lol, oh, the horror!( not to mention that brings us back to the question, why you pick him, Chrissy?)that, a week after it came out, he put out the story that it was done without his knowledge. What, does he have the Rogue Staff from Hell? The Sgt Schultz routine-I know NOTHING, I see NOTHING-is getting real old, real fast.

In his rambling January 9th press conference, he said he was going to conduct an "internal investigation." Funny, asking for private conferences with 2 mayors who accused you of stuff-and making a point to mention that FIVE ex prosecutors would be conducting said conference-doesn't sound very "internal" to ME, sounds more like witness tampering-ESPECIALLY when they're being investigated already by the Feds. And, after signing into law something last MARCH that said there was supposed to be an independent monitor for deals of 5 million or more, but, somehow, that didn't get implemented until last month-it turns out that, lo and behold, 6 million went into a senior citizen place in Belville, NJ-which was hardly touched by Sandy, and which just happens to have several Democrats that endorsed Fat Boy. If I could get even money that he won't finish out his term, I'd jump on it-he has Spiro Agnew written all over him.

With Christie out, and I think he is, the Republican's best, probably only hope at 2016 victory is the same guy it was in 2012, John Huntsman. A Foreign Relations expert, especially China, a fiscal Conservative, an Ex Governor, has worked in both Republican and Democratic administrations, sane on social issues and doesn't play the demagogue game. He will never make it through a Republican primary because of his sanity, and his refusal to throw red meat to the rabid Tea Baggers, but if his party ever woke up and got him through, he is exactly what they need to succeed nationally.
