Most of the country knows that Shonn Greene deserves the award, but politics will keep him from winning.

LOL, politics? How about being on a team that loses 4 games in the big ten??

RB's on bad teams who rack up big time yards only deserve to win in years where there aren't clear cut studs on the top 2 or 3 teams in the country. This year we have Tebow and Bradford. So While Greene is good, he does not belong in this conversation.

best offense cause they played just so many horrendous defenses.

i wouldnt call it horrendous defenses i would call it ridiculously powerfull offenses....the big12 might be the most offensively loaded conference in history....look at the QB's alone....christ NEB went 8-4 and scored 30 or more in 10of12 games and are considered a bag of shit....LOL

Those are horrible defenses. College football as I know it, now officially sucks.

Yes it's a lock, the only question is how big of a margin will he win by. I'm guessing it's going to be huge! Tebow gets 2nd and McCoy a close 3rd is my guess.

You guys are underestimating the real love out there for Tebow. I do think Bradford will win but the vote will be closer then it should be. A lot closer...

wake up kermit, Tebow is getting a ton of love out there. I posted this in the other heisman thread here but just last week a poll of several voters had it like this;

1. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma, 30-for-44 passing, 370 yards, 4 TDs, 44 (7).
2. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas, 23-for-28 passing, 311 yards, 2 TDs, 42 (2).
3. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida, 12-for-23 passing, 185 yards, 3 TDs, 30 (1).
4. Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech, 41-for-50 passing, 309 yards, 2 TDs, 22.
5. Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia, 94 yards rushing, TD, 3.

Now after lifting his team over the "number one" team in the nation in the fourth quarter I can only imagine the gap getting closer. This will not be a blowout. Think hard before betting on a ridiculously high line.

Bradford -669 to win the Heisman.

All this Tebow talk is hot air. After lifting his team past #1 Alabama, his odds to win the Heisman have increased from +567 to +614.

I don't know what your definition of close is but I'm very confident both Tebow and McCoy are in the running.

It could be even more possible McCoy is closer to the trophy than Tebow. Its more likely those voting for Tebow or McCoy number one will have the other number two, perhaps valuing the run/pass contribution and publicized leadership qualities of both players.

I have no idea why you guys believe this is a foregone conclusion, I'd love to hear why you think this is the case. The evidence is showing me something else. Anywho time will tell...

Just because someone says Bradford is a lock, it does'nt mean it will be a landslide victory. McCoy will get a lot of votes, Tebow will get his share too.

Last year, when Fla lost 4 games, the Heisman voters and Tebow fans said look at his stats, he has to get it. Now this year, Tebow fans are saying, don't look at the stats, look at Florida's record and beating Alabama. Tebow will not win it this year.

Tebow will be left off of a lot of southwest ballots entirely. He may be #1 on a lot in the southeast, but he will be followed by Bradford and McCoy collecting points in the southeast. Southwest you will see a lot of Bradford/McCoy - Harrell/Crabtree/Daniel ballots leaving Tebow with no points on the ballot.

Evidence ? What evidence have you showed anyone ? This is not about so called evidence but logic.

Bradford has led his team to something that has never happened in the History of college football and He will be over looked ? Logic my friend ! It has always worked for me and that is why I have Florida at 15/1, 12/1,+650, and 6/1.

I posted a poll with several real heisman voters. More evidence is available by simply looking up the voters and who've they said they are voting for. Your logic may not mirror another persons. Everyone thinks differently. Yes he led a historic offense but it may be worthwhile to note he played against significantly worse defenses.

And I have no idea what your bets on Florida have to do with dissecting the Heisman race.

Here are some voters who defy your logic;

How Herb Gould will cast his Heisman Trophy ballot:

1 Tim Tebow, Florida QB: His stellar performance against Alabama proved he's ready to strike the pose again.

2 Sam Bradford, Oklahoma QB: He's so worthy, it's a shame the Heisman vote doesn't come after BCS showdown with Tebow.

3 Colt McCoy, Texas QB: Also would be a worthy Heisman winner -- as Ohio State is likely to find out next month.

-------------------------------------------------------
Eric Crawford of the courier-journal.com

Assume the pose: I'm casting my Heisman Trophy ballot for Florida's Tim Tebow, and not because of the near-beatification bestowed upon him by CBS during its SEC championship game telecast. Think about this challenge: After doing it all for Florida last season, Tebow came back and was asked not to do more, but to blend in some more talented offensive elements.

A lot of guys with a Heisman on the shelf would have too much ego to do that, but Tebow pulled it all together and pushed his team when it needed it, right into the national title game. If his stats are lower this season, his heart was bigger.
-------------------------------------------------------

Chris Low: I've already voted, and my ballot was: 1. Tebow, 2. Bradford, 3. McCoy
-------------------------------------------------------

Mark May has gone on record with an order of McCoy/Tebow/Bradford
-------------------------------------------------------

Musberger has basically said he is putting McCoy ahead of Bradford. etc

Let me follow your logic. You are basing your opinion on what 5 voters say out of more than 900 voters ? very logical to me !
What does my Florida futures wagers have to do with the Heisman race .... Nothing whatsoever except that in order to come up with that conclusion one has to use logic. I've been winning big money on futures for over 30 years now and one must look at the schedule etc to come up with wagers that have a strong percentage chance to win. Heisman wagering is nothing but a wager on the future. Would I bet on it at - 600 ? no way because Bradford was the correct side quite a while ago IMHO !
