Yes, intentional.

State didn't get in on a 4th and goal from the 3. Iowa went straight forward 3 times, then took an intentional safety w/ about 40 seconds left.

Iowa even got called for holding on that 4th down safety, which State declined...

They punt from the 20 Illest. It was actually a very smart strategy from a football perspective. It's just that 20K Iowa backers have razored their wrists because of it Iowa State was in this game the entire way, we just couldn't get it in the endzone when it counted, but our D was stout (like I said earlier) and my final score prediction of 14-6 was not that far off. Great to get the win gambling wise. Double digits in this series is usually a gift of late.

FH, you and I go around on this every year. This game means just as much to Iowa as it does to ISU.

I will continue to argue with you about this until we both are long gone. I guess that makes it fun.
