My shiny domed local Rx colleague's forecast jives in part with another longtime trusted source who is a devout Hawkeye grad and business owner in Des Moines almost 20 years later.

His writeup in our other forum read Pass as he just could not back his boys laying what was at that time 13 pts.

As you know, I'm a diehard Hawkeye fan also, and really dislike the Clones.

But, at least in this particular scenario, I'm not stupid.

This game means 10x more to the cyclone players than the Hawkeyes.........and is one of the main reasons they have covered 9 of the past 10 in this series.

As much as i dislike the Clones, I will almost be happier if I lose this wager...........

Hoping Iowa wins, but by no more than 13.........that would be my ideal result.

Said it once and I will say it again, Ive really been impressed with Iowas new QB, Ricky Stanzi...........think he could turn into a real good find for Ferentz.

How could I forget this game, this broke out 15+ game losing streak to the Hawkeyes. I just graduated the season before and only got one competitive sniff losing by 3 in my freshman year, but never coming within 20 after that. We are 8 out of the last 11. Only 1 B2B losing run in that time. I am excited about our team.

Wow surprised to see so many on Iowa State here. The Hawkeyes defense is way underrated this season and I think they completely shut things down and come up with big plays for their offense.

i meant that isu was never a threat to score a td. they moved it between the 20's, but then that was it. once iowa got a td, it was over.

Never pay attention to total yards with Iowa. They'll give up plenty because of their bend but dont break zone defensive scheme. Scoring D is true barometer (8 pts total vs 3 mediocre teams).

Neither team really dominated as usual. Nice call State backers
