Convertible notes not a big deal..Due in 2025.
This is a look "long" by the company, it sounded as if meeting demand is a concern with the scale of their new customers.
The CEO talked about building for demand and the challenges of getting hardware because of supply lines right now.
I see this as a positive and I'd think some big money will too., it's over reaction by the AH market and it'll be a temporary draw on the price.
The opening might not be as soft as you think..we'll see.

[h=3]Limelight Networks Plans $100 Million Convertibles - Stock Down 8% After-Hours[/h]5:19 PM ET, 07/22/2020 - MT Newswires05:19 PM EDT, 07/22/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Limelight Networks (LLNW) said on Wednesday it plans to offer $100 million convertible senior notes due 2025 in a private offering to institutional buyers. It also prepares an additional $15 million notes to cover possible over-allotments.
The final terms of the notes will be set at the time of pricing.

LLNW..6.11 in the pre market.
Looking at 8 dollar calls on the opening.
I didn't see this coming I doubt anyone did, it's not bad news but the market isn't seeing it that way.
This is a necessity in growing the company, bad part is I'll now hold for a bit longer than I wanted to.
I'm very curious about the upcoming deal mentioned in the earnings call and hope you can draw a line between this offering, demand and the big players.

AVDL is going to churn on the recent news for a bit and I could see it slipping coming off good news.
Super speculative buy out and FDA approval play.
Honestly this has a bit of FOMO attached, it's part of the game on speculative bio with buy out or FDA approval potential.
I wouldn't be here if I didn't think JAZZ needed them, given JAZZ has bought 3 phase companies before (SEE CPXX) I'll stick around.

Happy flipping.

LLNW...This could see mid 5's..I'll jump all over in the market if thats the case.
Best thing that could happen IMO...it'll be interesting to see what analysts who covered this recently think. Often analysts have calls the with companies before issuing reports obviously this "Note" was kept in the dark..

Sold some CRWD at 105 earlier today decreased the weight considerably ..got sick of the churn.
Pretty much out of the high fliers except BABA and in to risk of a different type....LLNW and AVDL.

It's getting ugly out there...watch out.

Of course the SQQQ is gaining traction with the Nasdaq getting crushed. I was up a little over $500 and took one last trade when when the market got hit hard. Should have bailed way early but didnt and lost it all. Down $50 on the day after going up and down all day in the chop.

It's best used as a short term vehicle (SQQQ) great day to be on board... next week who knows.
Feds are going to step in here shortly..keeping this floating is job #1 right now.
eventually the shots of liquidity won't have the effect..It'll be interesting to see what the market thinks about the next round.

Wow what a great afternoon on MIST and ABUS. Left a lot on the table with MIST but out before the halt at least.

Wow what a great afternoon on MIST and ABUS. Left a lot on the table with MIST but out before the halt at least.

Mist opened up 100% at the bell.. how did you manage to leave money on the table?
Also ABUS was halted not MIST. ABUS was a shot in the dark I'd bet, it's not often you find a stock worth investing in because it's litigating a judgment VS a major Pharma. Pretty unbelievable you found the 1 and 2 % movers in the market today...

If you like real risk in a Pharma in litigation check out MNK
Great book value/great product line and they have a few products in the FDA pipe now (3rd phase) The stock price has been absolutely crushed under massive pressure of litigation.
Bankruptcy around the corner.. the stocks being shorted heavily when a bankruptcy is announced this will go up 15% off the bat.
Decent play if you like chapter 11s' ..Look at the balance sheet it's sorta unreal the stock is 2.34 but the law suits again..could be right up your alley.
Let me know what you think value and maybe from legal standpoint if you will... I'm curious.

Sold a bit of CRWD and watching LLNW..Looking to buy in the next few days..Up 8% today.
LLNW's connection to amazon..Poor mans Fastly
Great take over potential and I'd say amazon could be interested given the talk about amazon streaming live TV.
Decent Covid Play

interesting view..I do agree with thought this is a take out target..
I'd take the recent $110MM offering as two things. The need for capital expenditures given the growth ECT mention in the IR.. also from the outside it makes this company look as if it moving forward without being strapped for working capital in the near term..meaning this company is moving forward without diluting the stock today. it's basically a power move if a buyer is lurking. you see this a lot companies teething up before being taken out..it's a bit of a game...the old we don't need you game...."we good".

Disclosers whoever wrote this is long in LLNW and I'd add SA articles can sometime be authored by goofballs

[h=1]Limelight Networks - The Stage Is Set[/h]Jul. 24, 2020 4:55 AM ET|
1 comment |About: Limelight Networks, Inc. (LLNW), Includes: AAPL, AKAM, AMZN, CMCSA, CTL, FSLY, GOOG, MSFT, NET, T

Summary
LLNW reported strong 2Q20 results, including record revenues of $58.5MM up 28% YoY, adjusted EBITDA of $9.7MM and adjusted EPS of $0.03.
Record traffic was driven by pandemic induced stay at home OTT video streaming, gaming and digital media. Edge compute is gaining traction for this stay at home stock.
Recent launches by HBO Max, Peacock (Comcast/NBC), and rapid growth at other large media customers boosted results. The Company's industry leading low latency high-speed network is winning against the competition.
Post earnings, LLNW announced a $110MM 3.5% 2025 convertible debt offering @ $8.53, expected to close Monday 07-27-2020, which boosts the balance sheet and possibly funds M&A but caused the stock to sell-off.
We have updated our valuation analysis for the strong report, the convertible financing, and raised guidance including 15%+ YoY growth into 2021. Our sole issue with LLNW was high A/R growth in 2Q20 of $10MM QoQ well above the $1.7MM sequential revenue growth. Management indicated that $15MM of A/R has already been collected in July from customers LLNW "worked with" during the pandemic melee this Spring. We're willing to give LLNW the benefit of the doubt, since 80% of the Company's business comes from a dozen or so large customers suggesting credit risk is minimal. We view recent weakness as an opportunity and reiterate our STRONG BUY recommendation; adjusting our near-term price target to $16, a $2.4BN EV or 10x 2020E revenues of $240MM. This level is still a material discount to other CDN/edge computer providers FSLY, NET and AKAM trading at 20x-25x sales. If LLNW remains at today's 3.4x sales, we predict the Company will be targeted for a takeout by its peers, a global network operator like CTL (Level 3), or some major corporate entity that can leverage its infrastructure for its own portfolio (e.g., AMZN, APPL, GOOG, MSFT).

Heres the limelight call from this week. LLNW up 3% but it's weak trading
From the 59th min on is telling...Someone is vetting them heavily, someone large.. it might not be a take out but it will be news if they close this deal.
Amazon would be my guess they had been posting jobs to build a live streaming team..those posting didn't go unnoticed and the company pulled them after people stated commenting in the investment world..you can find old mentions if you look deep...it was last month.

Taking Off for Vacation

With any luck, by the time you read this, I will be setting up my tent next to a High Sierra lake somewhere over 9,000 feet. For I will be leading 40 Boy Scouts on a 50-mile hike around the Desolation Wilderness next to Lake Tahoe. The vertical climb for this ambitious route is 6,300 feet, which we will cover in seven days. Bears are everywhere, so we will be hanging our food from trees at night.

Usually, I am hanging out at my chalet in Zermatt, Switzerland this time of year, watching climbers descend from the Matterhorn. However, because of our poor response to the Coronavirus, Americans are banned from Europe for the foreseeable future. We are just too dangerous to let in.

My pack weighs in at a featherlike 50 pounds, including five pounds of medical supplies and a fifth of Jack Daniels, for medicinal purposes only. Gentleman Jack is excellent for sterilizing animal bites, large cuts, and gunshot wounds, and has saved my life many times.

With 40 kids under my control ranging in age from 11-17, what could possibly go wrong? At least they don’t have rattlesnakes and poison oak in the High Sierras.

The hike should take no more than 40 hours, which will give me plenty of time to think of great trades for the second half. Hopefully, I will come back refreshed, invigorated, and 20 pounds lighter.

I deserve the time off.

I have worked the hardest of my career over the last six months, going battle with the pandemic and the worst market crash in history. I knocked out 164 trade alerts, triple the normal rate. As a result, I have pulled in a stunning 28.83% profit so far in 2020, and 68.19% over the past 12 months. I know that many of you have made much more. These are the best numbers I have pulled in during 50 years of trading.

While I am communing with nature over the next two weeks, I will be sending you in daily installments FOR FREE the print edition of my best-selling book, “Options Trading for Beginners.” If you are one of the many recent new subscribers, this will give you the tools with which you can max out your profits in the coming months.

Thank you for supporting my research. Once back, I will do whatever I can to maintain your trust and continue to bring in some blockbuster numbers.

I want to take this opportunity to share an experience that has been immensely valuable to me and could be to you as well...Over the holidays last December, a long-time buddy of mine and I were golfing Quail Creek in Green Valley, AZ. As a career money manager, he mentioned the name of John Thomas, the Mad Hedge Fund Trader. It didn’t take him long to convince me to buy Tesla in late December, based on John’s recommendation in his email, “Diary of a Mad Hedge Fund Trader” After all, Mr. Thomas had been driving the cars for 11 years and had visited the Fremont factory countless times. Soon thereafter, anyone who follows Tesla (TSLA) stock knows what happened then.
Then, in late January, John drew upon his experience as a biochemist to identify the companies that would benefit from the Covid-19 pandemic. His statement that “Biotech is today what tech was in 1990” has been a rocket so far as well.
Then, when the market crashed in March, John urged the lead chip stocks, NVIDIA, Advanced Micro Devices, and Micron Technology, which he had been following for decades. Those stocks all doubled. I also increased my position in Tesla some more.
Some six months after hearing about John Thomas, I couldn’t be more grateful. It has given me the financial security to get my family and our three kids through this pandemic while supporting the gallery as well. It has also set me up in a position I never expected through these tough times.
John has been an incredible asset to my family, I believe he could be for yours as well. I am so grateful for his guidance in this stage of my life! I personally subscribed to his biotech newsletter and trade alerts after attending his free seminars and seeing the results. I missed the tech boom of the ’90s. If biotech is the new tech, I don’t want to miss that one too! And I wouldn’t chance it without John’s guidance.
All our best to you all in these difficult times.
Sincerely,
Greg
Las Vegas

This story came out today in reference to AVDL and JAZZ
It's looking a little less "far-out" as possibility the two coming together in a buy out.
Either way AVDL is a strong play and a bit shelter from havoc in the market around the high fliers.

AVDL 8.10 at the close.

Seeking Alpha 7/16/20

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4358851-assessing-investment-in-avadel-pharmaceuticals

AVDL Greg Divis CEO/ He's incredibly transparent about where the company is in all phases and explains clearly how FT218 works...at around 17:30 he talks about FT218 and the commitment to SH value.
It's a great interview or he's an amazing salesman.
