Croatia vs. Senegal
Senegal +19.5

Croatia beat the Philippines by 3 in OT and defeated Argentina by 5. Senegal did lose to Greece by 23 but upset Puerto Rico by 7. Senegal has some decent defensive players and Croatia may be happy with a win by 14 to 17 points and focus on games coming up with Greece and Puerto Rico. Senegal should have some confidence after a win on Sunday.

Holy shit! Senegal wins outright 77-75. Wish I sprinkled some on that inflated ML! Thanks for yet another early winner Dr T.

Brazil vs. Spain
4pm EDT Monday
over 146.5 (Pinnacle)

Spain has scored 90 and 91 points so far while Brazil has reached 79 with Iran and just 65 with a solid France team. Brazil has some decent players like Splitter, Nene, Huertas, Barbosa and Verajao while Spain can score inside and outside. Hopefully, we will see some 3's and get to 150.

Man....we lost by 1 basket. Stupid Brazil! They stunk it up.

Not sure which is worse, the Brazil soccer team or their basketball team.

(I will add that Spain was -36.5 yesterday vs. Egypt and led by 20 with 4 minutes to go and then scored...and scored and scored enough to win by 37.)

Dominican Republic vs. USA
Wednesday (Sept. 3, 2014)
Dom Rep +39

These two played a few weeks ago in the USA and the Americans won 105-62 (43 points). DR will be motivated and be more prepared this time. The underdogs lost their opener to Ukraine by 10 but have beaten New Zealnad by 13 and Finland by 6 and stand 2-1. Vargas, Garcia, Baez, Feldeine and Sanchez have played well so far.

The USA is 3-0 and has beaten Turkey by 21 and New Zealand by 27 in their last two games. The USA is deep and uses most of their players. Both teams will be playing their 4th game in 5 days. Hopefully, the USA will be happy to win by 30 to 35 points and the Dom Republic can play better than the exhibition game when the lost badly and some minor injuries are not lingering. GL!

USA wins 95-71 as the Ukraine plays well and stays within 24.

*Not sure why this play vanished in the middle of the night.

Yeah, there was scheduled maintenance last night, but it seemed to lag into this morning. And when I finally got the site to load the posts from last night were gone. Glad I saw the Ukraine play last night.

Thanks, Dr. T!

USA vs. Mexico
Saturday (Sept. 6, 2014)
Mexico +37.5 (Marathonbet)

The USA faces Mexico in the knockout round on Saturday in an early game. The USA has won their last four games by 21, 27, 35 and 24. The USA will face the winner of Slovenia/Dom Republic next. Mexico was 2-3 in Group D and they lost by 13 to Lithuania, lost by 21 to Slovenia and by 8 to Australia. They beat Angola by 24 and South Korea by 16. They are led by Cruz, Ayon, Mendez, Hernandez and Martinez. They did lose badly to both Argentina and Croatia by 25 points in exhibitions in Spain. This could be the high scoring over that we have waited for but I like our chances with a motivated Mexico team facing their American neighbor. Hopefully, we don't see a 110-70 game where the underdogs lose by 40. Maybe they win by 30 to 35 and move on to the next round. GL!

Mexico +37.5
