Jack,

So far you have only been analysing the different markets. This is important. Do investigate trends too! Very important! Obviously you must start working on some form of handicapping system that does not look at any of the market makers. Especially on the German League the advantages were not difficult to find!

I am a bit confused here acw. When you say trends, what would according to you qualify as a trend, can you name a few? Would you say investingating the results of cl teams just before champions league games, or just after, wrt the odds, and whether the odds over or underestimate their performance in such situations, and find a trend, would that constitute a trend? When you say i should "not look at any market makers" do you mean doing cumulative analyis instead of league to league, i really cant figure out what you 're saying here.

Betting blindly on all draws where you would have a 3% better price than the average one (using some of the most well known bookmakers such as wilhill, gamebookers, ladbrokes, bet365 etc. solely for both the average and maximum odds) ranging from 3.1 to 3.2 in the epl over the past 4 seasons you d have won $25 dollars for $1 bets, or $25000 for $1000 bets, with an extremely good roi of 118% and placing a mere 139 bets. Not bad.

Come on boys chime in with your stats/database/numbers angles, my query on the german favourites still stands, in the previous page of the thread.

If anyone wants to drop me a line, they can do so at JackDee@mail.gr, I don't check my mailbox that often, every couple of days or more, but i do eventually get around to reading it at some point.

bol, Jack.

As soon as someone is able to come up with fair odds, he will realise that roughly 2/3 of the moves are towards his odds. Moreover, if you follow the restant 1/3 which are moving in the opposite direction you will break even at best.
Now, what about the moves with the starting point being the odds considered fair ? I dare to say they are based on insider info, any other clues ?
