Thanksgiving morning, 1978, (I'm dating myself here) 6am, WNEW FM announces Bruce purposely held back a couple of hundred tickets (to keep out of scalpers hands) and will go on sale at the Madison Square Garden ticket office at 8am.
I call half a dozen of my buddies, like 10th on line, got sixth row side seats for, get this, $ 12.50 face value.

Good times.

you are right replace bad company with them....some reason i thought bad co was american....by the way? rem first album was recorded blocks from my first home here in charlotte...saw them many times before they were somebody...i figured stipe as a fruit,before he "came out"....

Acid Rock was a great sub-genre, but to put The Doors anywhere near the very top is rediculous

The Doors weren't acid rock. Jefferson Airplane was...not the Doors though.
