Why is everyone so intent on making picks every night? Coming from a guy who watched 1200 NHL games in the 90's and highlights of every game, every night for that decade... I'm telling ya, less is more. I can barely stand watching regular season games now. Boooooooring.
How about giving everyone $1000 max of bets a week. They can place up to 10 bets or just one. Count me out if I have to make 5-6 plays a day just to compete. If you hardcore guys want to make 6 plays a night, perhaps we can have two separate contests.

Hey guys, I just checked the schedule. Further to jam's idea... there are at least 10 games every Saturday for the entire season (except for the last week of the year when there are 9 games).
How about we just pick for games on Saturday? As many plays as you want. That makes it easy to grade and allows guys who can't make picks every day to participate. That's no different from the NFL contests.
Games involving the Habs should be worth double.

I Like that D.. How about then Wednesdays and Saturdays only. 10 plays max.. Lets at least make it 2 betting days a week. Separate the days by 3 days. I am sure Wednesday is the second busiest day. Probably an avg of 7 games on Wed, if not more.

Ok D, good work. But I still prefer Wednesday because it's right in the middle of the week, and gives us all 3 or 4 days off to think about next games, and gives me the official scorer a 3 and 4 day break. It won't make much of a difference wed or thurs, because there will be still a lot of games to choose from, seeing we're picking sides and totals. I will be worn out after that, and I don't want to only have 2 days rest if we do it Thurs and Sat..
