Last I heard, getting the nomination from one's party (in this case not very likely once with all of the legal matters upcoming
indictments facing Trump) does not, never has and never will translate to winning the big kahuna, the Presidential Election
any more than whichever team hits the most home runs in batting practice prior to the game determining who wins the
actual game!!

If one wants to say that the investigations and indictments of Trump are strictly political in nature/election interference
and/or not important in any event and should not be bothered with any event, let's take that a little further into society
for some similar issues.
If there is violence between two warring gangs and people are killed or injured, should law enforcement agencies investigate
the matter to bring those to justice who were directly involved, or should they say it is a private matter between two private
parties and thus not for us to get involved??
Or what if someone robs a bank or convenience store and is caught and no one is injured, should the city and state
law enforcement agencies conclude that it is up to the bank or convenience store to hire its own detective agencies and lawyers
to gather the evidence rather than them and take the necessary steps so that the person is indicted??
The other related matter that deeply disturbs me about the Trump/Republican talking heads is that all of the emphasis is on
the political aspect of the matter but virtually none on whether Trump is actually guilty on any of the counts and for that
matter whether they are serious or not!!
By inference, it seems that their philosophy is that unless someone can actually prove that the country was directly impacted
in a negative way by the documents that Trump had in his home, or in the January 6th Insurrection, the efforts actually succeeded
to have the 2020 results overturned or that Trump's phone calls to Georgia actually resulted in the officials finding those
necessary votes to award the state to Georgia that there was/is no crime!!
God help this country if this kind of one-sided Machiavellian provincial and one-sided thinking ever envelopes the legal
system!!
Suffice it to say that it will be the end of democracy as we know it and for that matter probably the end of the United States!!
