Two things come to mind when I think of people who are in denial that Trump is slipping and that it is not going to get worse:

1) These are the same kind of folks who live in the Tampa area(is that you, Lenny) who believe that there is no hurricane

tropical storm, and that even if there was/is, it won't hit his home or street!!

2) These are the kind of folks who bet on a horse that has a clear lead at say the 3/4 way point but then pulls up lame.

As other horses start to pass/lap him, our bettor still holds out hope that his horse will magically recover and then still win the race

going away!! lol
