I'm watching Oregon and I need to vent something.

Pisses me off when I see Oregon's defense doing all that "bending" but not "breaking." That's just a transparent as hell way to bullshit everyone who thinks they are mediocre and can't stop the pass, even when they had 3 (that's right THREE) future NFL dbacks starting for them on defense last year. Sheeeeeeit. Talk about a waste of talent! That's criminal!

I DO NOT WANT EXCUSES. WHAT I WANT IS THREE AND OUTS. PERIOD.

What's it gonna take for their DC (Alliotti) to hang up his cleats and retire? He must have 20 years tenure there. Time to retire with that nice check every month. He's in his late 60's, no? Shitty defensive game planning, absolute shit!. They have the superior athletes but this kind of crap ALWAYS happens. They were lucky as hell to dodge that bullet on Boise's first drive. And the second bullet too. HAH!

I'm getting a bit tired of listening to excuses -- why teams rack up 350 - 450 yards against them most of the time (if they are half-way decent) is for one reason and one reason only. Their DC is just plain shitty. They can't candy coat it forever with excuses and half-way senseless reasons. When the shell melts off, it tastes like pure shit inside.

Boise St.'s offense has no business pushing the Ducks around. Maybe the Ducks won't get run on a lot or often, but their secondary reminds me of Stanford last season. Stanford has the ONLY good excuse, that being lack of talent. The Ducks D is like a sieve past the line of scrimmage and it's for one reason and it has nothing to do with lack of talent like Stanford. Nick Alliotti just plain sucks as a DC. He has worked there far too long. When I heard that Chip Kelly and Nick Alliotti hit it off and became friends over the last 2 years, my heart literally sunk in my chest. I knew what was likely to happen. FUCK!

The Ducks are not out of this game because I think Masoli will hit his stride and their talented skill position offense will eventually assert itself. In the meantime, I just hope their D can dodge a few more bullets because it may take that to avoid playing catch up all night. SHIT! Can it be any easier than this for their opponents to play keep away! Not good.

So how do the offensive stats rate so far? Boise 150 yards, Oregon 35? Fuck. You want to beat Oregon, just play keep away... it's easy! Just tell 'em Nick sent you.

I hate to put it like this, but Oregon's football program has left Nick Alliotti biting the dust. He's just not good enough for them and he needs to go. I'm REALLY bored watching all the action happening down deep in the Duck's end of the field.

Grrrrrrrr.

You're absolutely right, Conan, it has been a let-down watching a quality defense like South Carolina's and then go to this shit . . . . . .

When will you learn to show some class Furmanski?

Conan, when have I ever not shown class to you before???

I have never said anything to you to offend you. I am only joking around. I respect you and what you have to say about the Pac-10, but tonight's showing is not a good one.

Relax. You have every right to say to me that So. Carolina looked pathetic tonight as UGA may on Saturday. I have never had any beef with you whatsoever.

It's just a good ribbing from an east coast guy when a Pac-10 team plays terribly. I didn't mean to "not show class", just was joking around.

I have been around for a few years and thought you may realize that. I apologize then for my comments if not.

South Carolina's defense looked good and it was the first time I have seen them look good against a decent offense in two years. Yeah, they are still just a mediocre offense, but they beat a pretty decent team tonight and can be proud of it.

That said, I still have no confidence in the ACC so far until I see evidence to the contrary . . . . .

Conan this should not come as a surprise. Boise State was the better team all the way around. Oregon is getting punked in what was supposed to be this huge revenge game.

Honestly I love this as you will get some tremendous value on Oregon in the next game & I will probably be on them huge.

Should definitely get some value on oregon in their next game. I like playing a team that looked absolutely horrible on national TV the game before. However, I wouldn't mind Oregon confirming that they can get a first down before I put money on them.

I agree with this, I think Purdue could be in for a real spanking next game . . . . .

OK Furmanksi. I did not take it the way you meant it. My fault, though all the baseless remarks before and after your post set it up for me to get my dander up. Perhaps your timing was a bit off for me to see the humor. Boy Skippy isn't the kind of company you want around to make you sound like fun.

In retrospect, (minus the village idiot's remarks) yes what you said was a bit ridiculous to take seriously. However you do realize that some here would actually say it with a straight face and mean it. Brainwashed idiots that pay $90 to sit in the end zone at Neyland when Chatanooga visits ... and try to convince me how that's the good life.

No harm no foul.

Oregon may kill our value next week if they lose by a 33-21 type score here.

How in th world can Oregon's defense play well enough to keep this close as tired as they must be? Turnovers is the wold card here.

Now that IS funny.

Nice angle there Club. Also keep in mind that the most radical changes that teams go through in a new season are the changes that happen between W1 and W2.

Oregon may yet get into this and cover the number. I may wind up kicking myself for not hedging the 6 I got trying to middle it.

No problem Conan....I know how the forum gets this time of year with numbnuts. The work we "stalwarts" (you more than me with your years) put in during the offseason to look at information for these games is pain-staking.

BOL this year, and you can rib me anytime and we will be good.

No doubt. Like you said, it's just one game. Can't get too caught up in it. Just like in NCAAB, somtimes teams come out and just don't have it or just match up poorly, doesn't mean they won't have it next game.

On an unrelated note, should I mute Davie, he thought that was a designed fake field goal and didn't catch the grounding call. He's performing worse than Oregon tonight.

Since they're playing the Boilers, who I think will be a bad tm this yr. But, they'll have to do it w/o Blount I hope.

Long about the same time you start rooting for a conference thats worth a shit

I know an ex Pac-10 player from SEC territory that you should meet. He's from a little town down your way in Mississippi where he played some JC football. He's going home next week. I'm sure that he'd get a big kick out of your shit talking the Pac-10. His name is LeGarrette Blount.
