eek...have you ever heard of "no taxation without representation"?...Try looking up the cause and effect of the American revolution...I think you may find a few differences in the goals that are behind the violence in both cases.

Patriot, while motivations are different in different periods of existence, perceptions are the driving force behind the actions we take.

As arab dudes you and I would have grown up watching the middle east being f'ed about bigtime by the western powers in their games of power, wealth and oil.

Meanwhile the westerners watched the destroyed houses and arab bodies on the news, like its some sort of kiddie video game with no long term payback.

The role of the US has been huge in this mess, particularly through its no-holds-barred support of Israel, and its total and utter lack of serious effort over a palestinian compromise.
Everyone knows. USA supports Israel, the rest of you in the middle east can take a jump, apart from a few feeble peace initiatives.

And you're there again, Israels biggest supporter, this time in Iraq, poking your nose in and making a bloody mess, just like the Brits used to do when they had the biggest guns.

They're not blowing you up, they're blowing you up back, and boy oh boy, you don't like it one little bit, do you.
And lots of motivated arabs see that.

If you had made half the effort in Palestine that you're going to make in Iraq, you would have gone a long way towards sorting out the mess that the idiots in that region are in.

It doesn't matter how many hundreds of billions of dollars you spend on sticking plaster and bandages, even if you use military specification sticking plaster and bandages.

This particular wound, known as the middle east, will stay infected until you open it up and clean it out properly.

I realise that there will always be a residual of nutters in that area, no matter what you do, but most people will just get on with their life if given half a chance.

Israel has been bankrupt for years, because of its huge military.
Only the cashflow from the USA stops the country from collapsing with 500% inflation.
So you can't say you have no influence on how the future develops in that area.

All the Iraq invasion has done is make things more complicated, and it cost you a pile of dead soldiers and a bucket of cash.

eek...get a clue, thats the difference, perception, its a far cry from reality...When the USA has given Billions upon Billions to the arabs in that area only to see the leaders, mullahs and emams, use the money for their own purposes...Did you see the piece on Arafat on CBS's 60 minutes?..He has billions in his own private accounts, his wife lives in luxry inParis..Their perveted religion makes sure that they get no education just hate classes putting the blame on everyone but themselves, keeping their lives miserable, making suicide a day at the beach...This is why Iran, Syria, SA, are deathly afraid of democracy taking seed in Iraq, because then the jig is up and they will see how they have been decieved for a few thousand years.
By the way housing in Bagdad has doubled since April, they can't keep up with housing construction...I'd really like to know. When you "progressives" are going to take yes for an answer.
By the way, read that dennis Miller piece i posted.

Minnesota is going Bush in 04. It could be tough to find a line on that though.

It will be tough for Bush to win 90 percent of the states Patriot. He may be able to win 90 percent of the counties though. It hurts to admit, but in 1984 Minnesota was the only state NOT to vote Reagan. Mondale was running against Reagan for president that year. Things change in twenty years, Norm Coleman (R) beats the same Walter Mondale last year for Senator.

The democratic party has left the more moderate democrats in ideology and the old farmers up here know it now. The democrats have stabbed themselves and its clearly visible. The demis will still get a lot of vote from the gays, welfare recipients, enviromentalist, somalies, indians, asians and african americans in this state ( I'm sure I left out some other left wing cuke groups and other races, but you get my point ). Union members are not voting down the ticket with a D anymore. Many Americas awoke to reality on 9/11 and took a little more notice of the cuckoos that live in our country. These cuckoos can range form terrorists to tree huggers. We don't have time for their BS anymore. No more Mr. Nice Guy and just letting it slide. Thank you Bill O'Reilly.

I have extended family by marriage that is actually conserv/repub and from Texas. They are former dumbya supporters, but at the moment are very pissed off about how the Iraq fiasco is effecting their pocketbooks.
As we know, libs are embarrassed by a such a poorly spoken person with such limited mental capacity representing us. I honestly don't know where the minorities stand on this Pres. but I have heard the rumors of dumbya's racism. Obviously the biggotry he displayed on the gay marriage issue has to have homosexuals upset with him. And except for the die-hard, blind followers of dumbya that I see posting here, the conserv sentiment I've heard is negative on dumbya because of what the spending on Iraq is doing to the economy.

Do you think he actually has any chance of re-election if we're still in Iraq with no end in sight?

Hey DM what was the hard part of my statement?
Do they have math at P.U. or is it a public school?
I names the 5 that he would lose another 5-10 that he may lose...any questions????

Kaya Bush being biggot as far as queers getting married is only supported by 75% of the population...I mean acouple of hippie judges that get whim that they are going to change pretty much common and religious law over the past 5000 years is stupid.
That means tommorow they can make a statement that says evrybody that is 25 years old is 28 and callit law???....Activist judges are the only way libs can have their way because they can't have thier agenda voted in by the people.(****in communist)

"Activist judges" also desegragated the South and helped give African-Americans equal rights. Were these bad decisions by activist judges as well? Equal protection and due process under the law necessarily involves definitions that evolve with the times. Equal protection should allow homosexual couples to afford themselves of the same or similar marital benefits as heterosexual couples. Anything short is unfarily discriminatory, plain and simple. Whether it's called "marriage", or it's civil unions or domestic partnerships or whatever, the rights and responsibilities that enure to a married couple should be affording a homosexual couple wishing to marry.

Mass. found that not affording such benefit violates THEIR consitiution. Other states are free to find otherwise. That's fine. It's an issue to be decided by the states, not the Fed Govt. Surely, this is something conservatives should agree with. Just ask Dick Cheney.

This ruling means that a man can now sue and claim that his dog is his child and should have benifits...This the states of Ma. logic.
Marriage by fedral and religious laws =man+woman.....The moon is not the sun because the court says so.

Patriot, and at one time in our nation's history "ALL" in "equal justice for all" was defined to include white men only. Definitions can change. I'm not sure I understand why it matters whether it's called "marriage" or civil unions or domestic partnerships -- if it grants the same rights and responsibilities as a commonly known married couple then how does it matter anyway? Why do some people object to so strongly to using the word marriage? People who are so indignant about this kinda scare me. Mind you, I am not gay...not that there's anything wrong with it.

Good post. D2 is always very insightful and well spoken whereas Patriot, on the other hand, is illiterate and incomprehensable.

Exactly, Dumbass. You "names" the 5 states that he will lose and another 5-10 that he may lose. You also make the statement that "BUSH IS GOING TO WIN 45 STATES NEXT YEAR" . I realize that you are an uneducated illiterate, but I thought you could understand the error within those 2 statements. I guess I gave you too much credit. Now go back to flipping your Whoppers, loser.

If all you can come up with to counter my statements is to make issue with my spelling then I rest my case.
