"one state's "terrorist" is another state's "freedom fighter".

Hmmm. That is pretty much exactly what I said."

Sure thing Mr. Cynic.

If you would actually read the whole thing (which I knew you wouldn't because you only read what you think confirms your baseless and moronic opinions) you will notice that there is in fact an Academic Consensus Definition.

""Terrorism is an anxiety-inspiring method of repeated violent action, employed by (semi-) clandestine individual, group or state actors, for idiosyncratic, criminal or political reasons, whereby - in contrast to assassination - the direct targets of violence are not the main targets. The immediate human victims of violence are generally chosen randomly (targets of opportunity) or selectively (representative or symbolic targets) from a target population, and serve as message generators. Threat- and violence-based communication processes between terrorist (organization), (imperilled) victims, and main targets are used to manipulate the main target (audience(s)), turning it into a target of terror, a target of demands, or a target of attention, depending on whether intimidation, coercion, or propaganda is primarily sought" (Schmid, 1988)."

The US armed forces do not RANDOMLY select "The immediate human victims of violence." The targets of violence are in fact the main targets, they do not serve as message generators. While their are definitely many innocents killed who are not the main targets, they are not INTENTIONAL. And American forces wear distinctive unifroms to identify themselves as combatants, wheareas terrorists hide amongst civilians.

I know the differences terrorism and armed conflict might be a little too subtle for people of your intelligence, but most people not in the Blame America First crowd seem to get it.

I graduated college with a 3.7 ( on a 4.0 scale), scored in the 95 percentile on the GMAT, and am currently working on my MBA. You on the other hand have a high school diploma, at best. You probably didnt even make it that far, so save the intelligence challenges. That is a battle you will definitly lose.

Terrorism is when Muslims bomb buildings and kill innocent civilians.

Armed Conflict is when the United States bombs buildings and kills innocent civilians.

Great comeback. When the facts are clearly against you, try personal attacks.

"I graduated college with a 3.7 ( on a 4.0 scale), scored in the 95 percentile on the GMAT, and am currently working on my MBA."

Who cares, you can't read and interpret a simple paragraph, nor can you support your own opinion with any evidence.

The world is so lucky that Hitler didnt have a few more idiots like you. Whatever your country does is always justified. You dont think, you just support everything the United States does, and condemn everything the "bad" guys do. Unfortunatly it isnt quite that simple, but you are too simple to see beyond what you are told.

Now I am done arguing with an uneducated fool like you.

The next time you have an informed opinion supported by facts, it will be your first.

Its one thing to have education. Its another thing to apply it. Regardless of whether you have the former, you've still got a long way to go to reach the latter.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

Yeah Patriot. I will ask the university for my money back. After all a 95 % on the GMAT ( a test taken by all college grads seeking admission to a graduate business school since I know you dont have a clue what it is ) is so bad. 95 % means I did better than 19 out of 20 people who took the test dumbass.

critisize ????
gallantley ????
whinning ?????

If I were you ( Thank God I am not ), I would sue your first grade spelling teacher.

Now I am done with you losers for good. I have to get back to work, some of us actually have jobs.

I will bet you $1000 right here today that he won't. The money will be put up with a good book or some mutually trusted poster here on this board. There will be no paying after the bet. There is too much stiffing here at the rx by people who claim to be so well off. The money will be put up ahead of time, and as soon as you take me up on this offer I can have my money up by this evening.

You talk so much trash on this board. Now back it up. I have $1000 that says he wont win 45 states in the Nov 2004 presidential election.
Back it up now Patriot. I will be waiting for a response.

Iraq has basically been nothing more than an incredibly expensive cluster phuck amounting in nothing productive and the righties here are still clucking about terrorism.

Funny to see that even after staying away a while nothing changes here.

Oh well even though it sucks we're still in Iraq and it sucks the economy's in the crapper at least the elections are getting closer and maybe those factors will motivate the public to vote dumbya out of office.

I dont think he will win California, New York, and the state that the Dem. Nominee is from. If he runs against Dean, I think Dean will win a lot of those New England area states.

There is no way Patriot even believes Bush will win 45 states, that is why he hasnt responded to the offer. Hell Patriot I will give you +130, and I am serious.

No way Bush wins Hawaii, New York, Massachutsetts, Rhode Island or Connecticut. That's 5 states right there. Not even counting Vermont seeing as Dean is the likely candidate, and it would probably go Dem anyways.

He must have been just checking to see how dumb, or not, you guys are.

rebels? terrorists? freedom fighters?
Its a matter of perspective, usually set along tribal lines.

------------------------------------

Was this an early terrorist action or a patriotic action. Surely, the answer lies with perspective. If you were a British official, this action was treasonous and punishable by death. If you were an American colonial citizen, this event would be seen as a glorious action of the freedom fighters worthy of praise, pride, and acclaim.
