i'm so old i went to see bobo brazil vs big money hank james at a local high school.

pampero firpo was also there .

any of you guys remember those wrestlers ?

LOL!

I graduated in '77 and can remember in about the 7th or 8th grade Wild Bull Curry came to my high school and wrestled on a card and sometime during the fight he picked a fight with and elderly lady in the 2nd or 3rd row. He jumped into the crowd and whipped her ass about 9 or 10 rows in front of me and my father. I almost shit my pants and for the life of me couldn't convince my father it was all real. He just smiled and kept it to himself not to ruin my night. I think it was the coolest thing I had ever witnessed to that point in my life. :)

Viejo how old are those hills outside of San Jose?

Older than Judge Wapner's women....too bad you can't see them now, raining every fuking day there now...that's why I am over here in the land of smiles now doing research on the values of hard working bar girls in Thailand...

I'm so old that I thought nothing would get any better then Atari 2600. I would shovel snow for a whole god damn weekend and walk 5 miles with the money I made to buy 1 $30 Atari cartridge (up hill, both ways)

I'm so old (and from such a small town) that I remember when we didn't even have to dial 7 digits to reach another local telephone numbers. We only had to dial 5.

I think I've posted that test pattern about 3 times now here at theRX. It always reminds me of a Cheech and Chong skit-

Cheech walks in on Chong who is baked and watching tv.

Cheech: Hey man what are you watching?

Chong: I don't know...it's some boring Indian movie.

Cheech (looking at the screen): That's not an Indian movie, that's the test pattern!

I remember the '60 Eagles (Norm Van Brocklin, Tommy McDonald, Retzlaff, Brookshier,Bednarik, and Sonny Jurgensen) beating Green Bay 17-13- family had season tics to Franklin Field where I saw Jim Brown play. I remember the Ali-Liston fight and saw Frazier fight Ramos in the Garden. I remember the '63 Phils meltdown (Richie Allen's rook season) when Mauch pitched Bunning and Short into the ground. This thread reminded me of how different sports and leagues were back then.

Hell I still grab breakfast at the Peppermill a few times when I come out. Best little restruant in the area. And that back room lounge is the shit. Took the wife to the restruant. She NEVER got to see the back lounge. Whoa! Like the Wild wild west in there. More pussy than an animal shelter.

I remember when ABC's Wild World of Sports was the shit.

I remember when MNF's halftime highlight show was a good way to see who won on Sundays

I remember when prize fights were on regular TV. We had 3 freakin channels.

I remember the only way to watch a baseball game was on Saturday afternoon.

I remember when going out to eat was a special event.

I remember the greatest team in history was the Big Red Machine

I remember when the Bengals were good.
