I'm shocked at the turnout for the RX's NFL Contest

It could all be automated. A site written where you log in and put in your picks before kickoff. Plays are instantly visible at kickoff, instantly graded.

That's where I would look to improve it.

Sounds like you need to create a proposal to theRX and see what they will pay

I'm creating this either way.

I could either finish it first and then sell it as software as a service on an annual basis, and offer that same deal to every forum out there. Or the RX could pay a one time fee upfront and buy exclusive rights to it.

I'd probably make more money on in the long run doing the former, but am willing to discuss the latter.

Advantage to the rx beyond exclusivity would be that if they got on board during the early stages of development, I could customize it to integrate with this site specifically.

I could create a beautiful site that was exclusive to the RX. Could even use the same login you use here, automatically write posts here with updated standings, show RX live odds next to the contest lines, and more. Optimized for mobile of course.

I could have it ready for next season's contest.

You would think the Westgate would come up with something faster

Yeah, I do. Honestly it wouldn't even be that hard. I could even html-scrape the westgate lines so you don't even have to enter them weekly.

I think it could be done in ~200 hours.

I still plan to move forward with the project as I believe there is room in that market for multiple competing sites. We'll see whose comes out better, cheaper, and more widely available

Well I've just been interested in his work ever since the site was brought to my attention.
thought the guy has done a good job, even though there has been some bumps in the road...

the bumps seem to be when the entries are loading or during the game as it's updating the results in real time... but it's understandable last season when there were 1300 entries ... or whatever it was
