I would say books can be profitable even with 6 cents lines -- it's all a matter of how the book is managed and intelligent line adjustments are crucial. After all, as you say, many books went down that offered 20% bonus with 10x rollover, but also many are in great shape still offering 20% with 3x rollover (VIP) or the leader -- Pinnacle (10%, 3x R, -105).

The Rio group have been my favorite for several years now. I've said that before and I'll say it again and no one pays me a penny to do so.
Again I've said this before, but it bears repeating here. I was and still am amazed that they survived the old platinum account with the monthly free 2 dime parlay perk. This and the free half point on all baskets [up to a nickle], I know for fact, from a conversation with one of their own, hurt them big. The half point on foots except on or off 3 and 7 looks better than it is and IMO is not risky at all.
On the other side of the coin is that their innovative, player friendly promotions are exactly what helped established that large and loyal customer base. While they did survive, they obviously don't give the store away any longer. There were a few minor glitches about rules changing midstream, but it was really no big deal and the platinum fee was prorated and returned to all players.
Remember no slow pay reported ever, and I choose to give a premier outfit that has historically given the player something not found anywhere else and survived, the benefit of the doubt concerning the issue with Russ that is now going on. Whether or not this current offer puts them at risk, I'll leave to the math people here, but I would say the nickle limit again is something they should not have a problem with.
Finally this offer, IMO is being put out right now, to offset the Major's low blow "DOS" like attack, and the resultant "mini-run" they have endured.
All said, I feel the Rio group remains solid and as Fish said, this latest offer is a great opportunity for all.
