Just one man's opinion....spent 7 great years there and now 8 months in the DR and 4 months in Thailand....Cambodia and Vietnam Nam are good options...

Glad you're still enjoying it there... Stickman complains that no matter how long you are there, if you're a Farang, then the people will never really accept you. Have you found that to be true?
Of course it's just Stickman's opinion, and I'm sure others will disagree.... Just curious what your thoughts were.

mostly true....but Thais are more willing to accept you than other countries around the World...

Thais have a dignity about them and they don't feel entitled to what you have as compared to Latino countries...

I like CR. Have no intentions of ever leaving. If I did I would look at Columbia and Uruguay.

Big City - London
Island - St. John
Middle of Nowhere - throw a dart at a map of Austrailia

London sucks balls. It's too expensive, the women are ugly, the weather sucks, and the food is generally trash.

Literally the only things it has going for it is a good poker scene and great Indian food.

Great Indian food, isn't that an oxymoron?

To answer the OP, Swizterland is probably the nicest place I've been in Europe but I think I'd go somewhere south. Central America area, Panama or Colombia. I loved Panama when I visited and I have heard great things about Colombia.

I really liked London, yes expensive but I would gladly live there. I just got back from Dominican Republic and also thought I could live there (we visited the run down areas too in Punta Cana). Weather is fantastic and the people overall seemed really enjoyable.

I could not live in Italy, loved to visit would go crazy living there everyday. Ireland I was not impressed with both visiting and could not live there. Sounds like I need to plan a trip to Switzerland. Someone else mentioned Toronto easily could live there but it's basically like living in New York. Never been down under but would like to go there in the next couple years too.
