Why Scott?

You prefer it end in a tie, or they keep playing?

i like the NHL way. Regular season games they play a short 5 minute sudden-death OT and if there are no goals, then they do a shootout. I get it. Time. TV time and all that. So in soccer, they do the shootout already. No need to change to a 5 minute sudden death but for goodness sake, why settle a World Cup on penalties? I fucking hate that. Don't you?

I say play 10 a side in OT and play until someone scores a real goal. They know its going to go to a shootout so they just waste time and take their chances in the shootout.

As a gambler only (not a fan) get rid of 3 pointers in Hoops and 2 point conversions. Again, thinking of gambling only. Trust me on this - The Capping used to be so much easier.

Under 20 seconds in the NBA/NCAAB up 3 and you foul intentionally it should be 3 free throws.

Some variation of this. The intentional fouls in basketball are infuriating. I would prefer to see 1 shot and the ball or something; basically make it non-beneficial to foul to extend the game. And yes I'll admit I only hate it cause it has cost me so many dog winners; 6.5 dog is leading the whole game, goes down by 2 in the last 12 seconds and loses by 8...wtf

Several NFL rules right now stink.

I've always thought the 1 & 1 in college basketball was lame and they should mimic free throw rules in the NBA.

In college football, I think players should have to have both feet inbounds on a catch instead of only one.

In MLB, hell the umps make their own rules so the league should just throw the rulebook out entirely.
Can't stand that game because of this...

Get rid of replay in NFL.. I'd rather live with what they call then deal with the inane replays where they still can't get the call right.

More realistically, make PI 15 yds.

right on with the PI in the NFL. Complete game changer as much as they call that penalty.

Why do people think the possession arrow should be changed? Jumping the ball up is actually the stupid rule. If a guard and center are tied up - the center has an extreme advantage on the jumpball for the random reason that they are taller. It hurts guards who create jump balls. I dont think posession arrow is great but its better than a jump ball

Then you make pass interfering a good option on deep passes when the corner is beat and thats not football. Spot of the foul makes more sense because it makes the defender actually defend instead of just tackle the receiver

true, but it has become disgusting how much the laundry is thrown for PI. They could make a spot foul if the defender doesn't make a play on the ball. It's pretty simple the see the difference for an official.

Possession arrow is a great rule. It saves a ton of time.

Another problem with the jumpball is its not an exact science. Throwing the ball perfectly up in the air and telling two players to not go for it until its at its highest point is pretty damn hard. Gets messed up a ton....

I agree - refs really botch pass interference calls all the time. I pretty much hate most officials and the fact that they always get a free pass when they mess up calls

yea - not sure what could replace it tho - possession arrow isn't bad but I feel like they could eventually think of something better

NBA needs to drop down to 50-60 games and re-seed everyone for the playoffs. No way should you make the playoffs sub .500.
