Yes, I had a pretty bad cold/flu back in january 2020. Never got tested. Handled it just like a cold...i rarely get cold. Stayed home and rested. Entire family got the cold one by one and all recovered fine. But for the adults, the cold was worse than usual...some fatigue and fever. for few days I think it may have been corona virus...it was even before it was all up in the news. There are actually evidence that this virus has been out there since 2019 in north america and south america. It increased the up tick in pneumonia and flu related hospitalization but nothing too crazy to overwhelm they system. It got bad only after they meddled with it and artifically changed all the policies in regards to corona testing and the protocols as a result of the "positive" result. This made hospitals overwhelm and people with many other conditions didn't get proper treatment and was instead admitted in the corona ward. This increased the deaths not just from other causes also because of corona. If you did the exact same protocols during a bad flu season, effect would have been similar. But corona is even worse for some and the protocols in place made it worse. Sending a vulnerable person with underlying conditions to coronaward because they test positive is almost a death sentence and this is exactly what happened in late feb/march/april...was done on purpose.


The cost of Antibody test in usa, i have idea. I am pretty sure they will make it expensive to discourage people form taking it.
