guys I like at the next level
Sean Mannion from Oregon St.- questionable mobility but he is a pro pocket passer. can make all the throws

Tyler heinicke from ODU- not the strongest arm but a very smart heady QB. He will play on sundays, may make an impact in right system

and i actually liked taysom Hill. he has become very accurate, great athlete but the injuries now who knows

yes these are not your normal talked about players, i know this

Anyone like Cato from Marshall? I haven't formed an opinion yet.

PJ Walker from Temple is another guy no one talks about much.

Andrew Hendrix doing well also.

Did u play qb at any level?

Just curious why u think u know so much
Simply due to years of predicting how how good or bad a college qb is going to be in the nfl and being right most of the time.
No other reason.

My best prediction ever was that I thought Tom Brady would be all pro

Gunner Kiel is my highest rated QB since Luck.

Isn't he hurt and out for a few weeks?

X-rays came back clean. Coach says he won't play him if he isn't at 100%. Coach didn't sound optimistic about him playing this week at all. Practice on Wednesday will be key. He's doubtful, but not ruled out.

SportsOptions customers would know this.... email jaket@sportsoptions.com if interested in signing up (I can hook new guys up with some things)...

Promo over.

Kiel is solid... but Cincy QBs have all been above average for a few years now. I have to wonder how much of that is the Kelly/Jones scheme. Tuberville has QB-friendly schemes as well. It's tough to tell how good these kids in top-end offensive schemes really are when everyone excels in them. History dictates it's best to avoid them, but I'm not sure Kiel falls under that umbrella.

Kid from ECU is pretty damn good as well.

Carden looks nice but another system guy. Their head coach was at Texas Tech for a long time and his OC brought the offense. All the QBs in that system excel which makes it tough to tell how good the guy is.

Again chop.
U ever put on a jock or just a Mel kiper wannabe?

One key indicator I like to tell these system QBs apart is red zone efficiency. Without guys running wide open with all that space it's tougher to score a touchdown.

I was a baseball player but was not aware you had to play football to observe talent

I would love for gunner to be Drew Brees replacement in 4 or 5 years. He would look great in a saints uniform.
Let Tampa have Winston. Would be perfect

Chop, I knew brees would be good no forum then to shout it.

Yea me to.
San Diego had the best b2b draft picks in nfl history that season. LT in the first and Brees in the 2nd. Two HOFs b2b.
That year Drunkinmiller went in the first round and I remember telling everyone he would be a bust and Brees would be much better.

Take a loom at Sean mannion chop
He looks like he solid prospect

Will do.
Saints won't invest heavily in QB for another 2 years.
I hope gunner stays till he's a senior.

But I will study Mannion to see what I think.
