If the Bills the playoffs, are they the most overrated team of all-time?

Josh allen in his 5 playoff losses

186 yards 1 td 0 int 86.1 rating
264 yds 0 td 1 int 68 rating
329 yds 4 td 0 int (good game) 136 rating
287 yds 2 td 1 int 80.8 rating
264 yds 0 td 0 int 69.5 rating

Looks like "superman" faced Kryptonite in 4 of those 5 losses as he failed to achieve rating more than 87
Lot of garbage time stats in the 2nd and 4th game too. Both embarrassing blowouts

But he does have some good rushing stats too. Though his TDs are overblown as he basically serves as the goal line running back for them

I think 11 or 12 or his rushing TDs this year were within 3 yards

Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yds, scored 1 TD and didn't score for half the game against the Ravens...yet somehow got the "win". Oooo, big clutch hero!

17 pts is all KC needed to advance to the Super Bowl. Two hundred and forty seven yards - LESS than all those Allen "losses" you listed except one.

The better team that executes in all 3 phases of the game wins, and the only reason Mahomes wins Super Bowls. That's the formula for success in the NFL no matter who the QB is.

Josh Allen drove for go-ahead TDs twice in the final 2 minutes at KC only to have his defense/coach choke.

Burrow got an interception from his defense, drove 25 yards, and kicked a FG. Avo lionizes him as a "gamer" while "Allen couldn't get it done" 😂

Crazy stuff!

Mahomes hasn’t turned the ball over since that interception to the Bengals . That’s why he’s the greatest playoff QB ever IMO

Acting like turnovers and mistakes don’t matter , especially in today’s game, is bad analysis

Josh Allen has turned the ball over more than anyone since he entered the league. His upside comes with a lot of downside

Just this year, you see his play costing his team games — despite some games where he was awesome

That’s why to me he’s not quite at the very top tier. But maybe he can change things

This is why total yards is so overrated

They played conservative for an entire half. Similar to Bengals last year against Bills. Mahomes and Burrow were great in those games and did what needed to be done: efficient throws and no mistakes. Built a lead that was safe

Allen got empty calorie and garbage stats in his one AFCCG when they were getting boat raced. Same thing last year against Bengals. Allen started bloating up his yardage when the game was over — still couldn’t get in the end zone though

Should be noted these are all his playoff games against top 4 seeds. 0-5.

So basically he has beaten the crap out of relatively crappy teams in the wild card round at home .

His last 3 playoff wins are against Mac Jones, Skylar Thompson, and Mason Rudolph lol

lol what’s he supposed to do?

He was flawless down the stretch. Made key throws and runs, no mistakes

It was also like 40 yards but whatever. They could’ve scored a TD if they wanted

I still remember being in Arrowhead that day….those poor Chiefs fans. Little girl crying right behind me as Burrow led the Bengals down the field . Felt bad for her

Allen has 4 INTs in his entire playoff career (27 TDs) so your "turnover" narrative does not hold in the playoffs.

When your defense doesn't get stops, you have to keep bringing it and being the hero, thus increasing the margin for error. That's the point you're not understanding. Even against the Chiefs a couple weeks back, Allen drove down the field, which at minimum TIES the game, just as Mahomes was kicking FGs all game. Oops, Bass missed. Game over.

Mahomes is uniquely positioned because he plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. He's not winning Super Bowls anywhere else. "Mistake-free football" LOL....it's called RUNNING THE BALL eating clock!

17 pts in the AFC Championship as some clutch gamer, are you kidding???? On almost any other team it's, "Hit the links choker - season over!"

And the Bengals get to count a victory over a top seed Tenn that gave the game to them. A little more context would help with your arguments. Ravens did the same thing. They gave the Bengals the game. Another playoff win over the Raiders right ?

Bengals are still lined with Buffalo and Minnesota has the three franchises that are considered chokers. Nothing has changed. A win over Mahomes doesn't lose that label.

BTW, Burrow choked in the SB.

Against Stafford and the Rams from the dumpster fire NFC. (All the top teams and QBs in the AFC that season).

Embarrassing!

This generation of Bengals aren’t chokers. 5-2 in playoffs, beating quality teams, despite being underdogs

Not sure how he choked in the SB. The Rams won because of defensive line vs offensive line

Burrow played well in the SB. Mistake free and efficient

22/33 263 yards a TD, no turnovers, 101 rating in the Super Bowl playing with a college-level offensive line against one of the greatest d linemen ever

Yeah, real choke job lmao

Best QB on the field that day was Burrow

What context is needed?

He threw for 350 despite getting no offensive line play (9 sacks, flushed out every play)

Burrow was a beast that day

That Titans team beat the shit out of the Chiefs that year — held them to 3 points. They weren’t a push over

Talk about “context” lol

Meh they would’ve beaten the Bills by double digits most likely given their actual choke job track record

Every season, there is some new QB who "passed Josh Allen"

- Herbert
- Burrow
- Tua
- Hurts
- Dak
- Lamar

The fad lasts about 2 months and always ages badly. No serious person thinks any of those guys is even close to Josh Allen.

The one comparable is Mahomes, however, as I said, Mahomes is uniquely positioned as the QB of the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes ain't winning in Buffalo, just as Allen ain't losing in Kansas City. Andy Reid would reign in and insulate Allen's weaknesses just as he's done with Mahomes own erraticism over time.

Allen has a better arm, more powerful legs, bigger, can make plays Mahomes can't make, probably more durable long term if utilized wisely etc..

"Allen couldn't get it done!" - "Mahomes is Mister Clutch Super Bowl hero!"

Cute narrative.

It's as if these "analysts" don't watch any games and just look at final scores.

As for Burrow, I think Avo is the only person in the world who would take Burrow over Allen. Like, c'mon.. LOL

“The only one comparable is Mahomes” lmao

Mahomes is Allen’s daddy

Mahomes is probably the second best QB ever, and I would argue already the best playoff QB ever

And I guess you need to get a pulse of how people feel outside of the RX. Most people would take Burrow. He’s the most common pick for second-best in the league. Although it’s subjective and maybe this injury will affect that

Bengals set up well for next season though

You had the lead in the 4th qtr. You choked ! If the stats for Allen doesn't count in a loss, why would they count for Joe ? Everyone but you looks at the Bengals as chokers .

That year ? We're talking playoffs. Not a regular season game. Jesus. Tenn was driving to win the game when Tannehill thru his 3rd pick .
