The play before the fake punt Allen threw it right to a defensive lineman at the line of scrimmage on third down. 3rd and 5 too.

And I only bring that up because if you're gonna get so deep into the details to find excuses, then you have to be open to the other side

Also I could say the only reason the Bills kicked a field goal at the end is because Allen chucked the ball to the end zone instead of hitting an open receiver over the middle.....

Or I could say the only reason the Bills had a chance to kick a field goal is because the Chiefs didn't fall on Allen's fumble.....

It would've been like 3rd and 2 or 3 most likely. Maybe even a 1st down if he gets a guy to miss. Not 3rd and 9.

You still get to bleed the clock (which is most important) and give yourself a more manageable 3rd down - worst case scenario.

If Diggs isn't that good, then it is even more questionable as to why throw a deep ball that's well covered when the goal of the drive is to take as long as possible to score

Bottom line is it was a home game that the Bills have been trying to get for a couple of years now

They were favored to win

They talked it up like this was their time to get over the hump

And they choked again

And that falls on the entire team. I would say the defense is most responsible, and others as well.

Allen played well/fine. But he could have done more as well , and didn't have a good last drive of the game

The media has talked up the Bills (as a team) for years . And the books have overvalued them the last 3 seasons. It is what it is.
