But on the other hand if a black man is murdered and the the cop gets away with it, people get mad at black people for being alarmed by it. I'm not alarmed by it personally because I know it's rare, but I get it. I get why people are scared of muslims that hate them too, because they are not the same as them. I think the real concern and point of those numbers is NOT how many. It is HOW people are dying and WHY they are dying.
Because if you tell me 9 or so black people were killed in ONE year when the situation didn't have to get to that point....then yeah that is a lot of people. And that's really the problem. It could just be one person. It only takes ONE person to be killed on footage in that manner, unarmed for people to be outraged. Because honestly, 9 of those situations is a lot in one year. That's where the problem lies. Not because the statistics don't match the perception. But because black people have felt this for decades and who are we to tell them they are overreacting?
