Ice, just curious why you think the Red Sox/Indians is a good Over for tonight. Wakefield was virtually unhittable last time out against the Indians (April 27).
That's why! @):)@):) Pedroia pushes it over, I'm on Sox tonight too... and Howard gets us at least a push in the 6th!! Thanks for the W's tonight, Iceman, gl with the rest! :dancefool

You just got to go with your gut sometimes.... plus I know Wedge is a moron and Cleveland's pen is full of gascans.

Nothing better for me than to see a Consistent and Strong Performing Capper have a 2-2 day (yesterday)

Then I see a pair tonight and know there's a modestly better shot for a 2-0 and I stacked 'em right into a Regular sized 2Teamer for what could be a nice 2.8 to 1 payout

Iceman's OVERS for Friday May 8

YTD: 55-32-6, +10.55 units

Good stuff Jackal, glad to see we are on the same page

I hit my first milestone last night, obtaining 10+ units so far this season... took just over a month to do, much faster than I had anticipated. Alright, on to tonight, a few early games. Putting these up now because I may not be able to post at gametime:

Yankees/Orioles over 9.5 (-104, 1.04 units to win 1)

Twins/Mariners over 9 (-117, 1.17 units to win 1)

Rangers/White Sox over 11 (-105, 1.05 units to win 1)

FYI, Meriwether in MIN. 1-5 is his O-U record this season.

Given a sufficient sample(100+ games), 95% of MLB Umpires show an O/U record within the 55%-45% range.

and Meriwether is still an under ump. If you want to site his games from 2004 then fine, I agree he is a "55%" under ump. But if you look last year to this year he is a 67% under ump (26 unders to 13 overs).

I'm not saying this game won't go over. The ump is not the one throwing the ball or swinging the bat. All I'm saying is that if I was on the over, meriwether behind the plate would be enough for me to reconsider. This game was not on my list to begin with so doesn't really matter to me. Just passing the info along.(<)<

I got that. And would submit that the overall sample suggests that if he's on a 67% tilt one way for past 40, he's "due" to gravitate the other way.

Now all that noted, the game probably ends 7-0....heh

Sorry guys, bad day today, going 1-2.... really tough to hit overs when only one team brings the bats.... White Sox, Orioles and Mariners (although I didn't need the Mariners bats, thank god) did not show up... sorry.

Going to be away all weekend, so I won't have any plays until Monday.

Barman- nice discussion. Iceman, I'm glad you won the Twins over and I didn't ruin your mojo. Keep at it.

I'm back after a weekend out of town.... only 4 games tonight, nothing is strong enough to make a play on.

I'm sure I'll find something good tomorrow.
