I don't think anyone realizes how good UNC is just yet. Not to mention Virginia Tech is very young and everyone loves to kick teams while they are down, especially when said team used to do the kicking...

Arkansas

I like your thoughts on Arkansas. Petrino has to have a couple tricks up his sleeve for this one. I dont know what they are, but I could see him coaching them right into a cover.[/quote]

I had posted earlier this in August, Arkansas under 5.5 wins for the year. The response I got was that Petrino is going to make Arkansas competitive regardless of the rebuilding year. Arkansas is known for playing above their talent in Little Rock games and was down to UL Monroe the whole game. The extra week off (Texas was rained out due to the Hurricane) will help the hogs, but Bama should take care of business. The hogs are not good and will start A LOT of freshmen. Petrino's schemes haven't worked against lesser teams (Western Illinois and UL Monroe). I'm a HOG fan but IMO Bama -9.5 is the play. (Sometimes what is suppose to happen doesn't) GL with your selection. I'm 31 so I'm qualified to make a statement in this thread.:lol: :103631605

Yeah Little, Flava is dropping his bombs early. I used to remember him waiting til Week 9 or so to start losing the big games. I havent seen him around here much, I think he probably is spending his time promoting at other sites. I totally agree with you on UNC.

Mission - I really dont have much of an opinon on the Miami game. In my opinon Miami is one of the harder teams in all of college football to get a feel on. I just dont know any of these youngsters yet, and I dont know how they will handle this game. They played Florida tough for a while, but those rivalry games can produce unexpected and bizarre outcomes a lot. This seems to be there first test against a non instate rival. I know that might sound a bit weird, but there has to be some sort of comfort playing against kids you have played with and competed with in the past. I dont know about the QB, so I really cant help much. Sorry, I just dont know much about either team.

:lol: Thanks for justifying your thoughts with your age. I apprecaite that. Otherwise I would have to just throw those thoughts right out. I know what you mean, and I tihnk you could be right. I could be way off on that game, but the DD dogs theory in the SEC is a tough one to go against. They hit at an alarming rate, so I understand why my man Shawn is on it. I could be wrong, but hasnt Saban and Alabama played down to opponent a lot since he has been there. I remember last season when they had a look ahead spot against Houston and put a bad performance out. With Georgia on deck, could we be looking at another bad look ahead from the Tide? That being said, War Eagle!!

Here is the information you were looking for though.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – It's still uncertain whether quarterback Stephen McGee (sprained right shoulder) will be ready to start Saturday against Miami.

"We're just going to take it one day at a time, see how he is on Wednesday and go from there," coach Mike Sherman said Monday.

McGee, starter of 29 straight games, threw some in a limited practice Sunday and experienced little discomfort. Sophomore Jerrod Johnson continued to get most of the snaps.

"I just have to go prepare like I'm going to be the starter and get to play," McGee said.

Ive been pretty good. Got some things going in the job search that might be promising. Feeling pretty good about that. Girlfriend is feeling much better which is nice. Turns out she jsut had really bad anxiety caused from post concussion syndrome. All the heart doctor trips were for nothing, but at least she is healthy.

I wanted to get on the Birds myself last night, but I got caught up in some reality television and missed the kick off. Im glad you hit it though, makes my cheering feel more important.

Well Im glad you stopped by. Its always nice to see you Sixer.

Yes Six, you have to be a 30+ year old myopic ASU grad that goes to games and tailgates across from college kids and tries to get "rowdy" to come in here and have an opinon. Thanks ASUDevils for setting the new standard.
