I think the over abundance of political threads is hurting the offshore forum

That's true but what if the content is so bad that it overtakes the good content? Then eventually people leave and the ecosystem of posters dries up rather quickly.

For instance, most people who stumble across a thread with you arguing back and forth with someone else probably would prefer to either X the thread and the website or stab themselves repeatedly. So they X the site and now it is dead.

I don't care that people bicker about politics, the point I am making (and what I assume that murderers row foursome of posting legends would agree with) is that it kills the rest of the offshore. Another poster said it was dying anyway and just let people talk politics, at this point yeah he is probably right but it isn't dying for no reason.

Its really not a difficult thing. There is a guy downstairs named superbeets. He post nonstop spam and drivel all day long. I sometimes respond but most times I scroll past and don't even read. For an adult.....it's not that hard.

The other part nobody wants to address....is nobody from the poly forum is even staring the political threads up here. It's all trump voters and republicans.....but somehow I or akp get the blame. It's just bullshit. Move all the threads to poly forum then.

I could be wrong, I don't have metrics to back it up or anything but this place seems really dead to me for football season. Significantly down from last year IIRC.

Maybe it is because Tom Brady hasn't started playing yet and people just aren't as excited as past years but there is hardly any NFL or CFB talk on the main board. Hache will post some paywall ESPN insider content and it gets 2 responses max before fading down the page.
