I think the over abundance of political threads is hurting the offshore forum

Yes, but as I already mentioned, it's only for a short period of time every 4 years when the Presidential Election is here.

It's not like we allow Political in Offshore much other than that.

And I think many of us simply debate, disagree, and not hold grudges.

For example, AK and myself have different views, but we aren't ready to kill each other over it.

In the past that is what separated TheRx from the other forums. The bickering in every thread. I think if we start comparing ourselves to other forums we are headed in the wrong direction. We should lead by example.

Literally a new thread is started daily, and it's the same 3 lefties arguing with the same 5-6 righties. Sometimes it's 2-3 threads on the same topic. It's gotten way out of hand.
　
Another thing that happens is that news threads always turn into poly threads. A shooting or a riot occurs, and people race in here to start a thread about it. Then it becomes a 4-5 page poly debate with the usual suspects.
　
I know where to go on the net to get my news from. I don't need it here. Somehow this forum has morphed into a world news and poly forum. The mods should take a hard line and dump ALL poly threads and ALL controversial news threads. This forum needs to get back to sports and gambling related topics only. That's how it used to be.

Why do you post on a forum you feel only has 3-4 intelligent people?

I do it mostly for the youth and the undecideds. If we just let you guys roam free and say the stupid shit you do without any resistance, future generations might actually start thinking this is a proper way to behave and think. It's more philanthropic than anything else.

So extremely accurate... It was theRX only true competitive advantage over some of our competitors. Its why we attract good people of forumville. We're now no better than them, in some cases worse when theRX doesn't have the other advantages that other forums have...


Furthermore, The OS has always been the class of theRX, it sets the tone for the rest of the forum. It's what we show is acceptable behavior. The fighting and temperament here has polluted our forum.

RX is a product, right now because of all the political threads the product is shitty.

That is only the opinion of some though, if the RX feels the same 8-10 people saying the same things over and over and over is good for business then just roll with it. At this point I don't think it really matters too much, time to nip it was probably like 5-6 weeks ago before football started.

Maybe it isn't even the political threads and the site is just continuing on downward trajectory but I don't think the two are mutually exclusive at all.
