I do brag about my parents, neither of whom has a high school diploma. My dad was an orphan who joined the Navy at age 17. My mom grew up in war torn Italy. I was raised in poor inner-city neighborhoods. But my parents didn't make excuses, they worked and saved and worked and saved and worked and saved themselves into the middle class. They encouraged me to stay in college, and they enabled me to move into the upper middle class. I'm proud of that American story, and I use it when debunking libtarded excuses for failure.
I do brag about my kids. Both of them socially balanced, outgoing, friendly, personable, honest, trustworthy people who earn > 100k in their late 20's. I'm very proud of their work ethic, and the fact that I (we) enabled them to take the family legacy to the next level.
I do talk about my great life, but it's about family and friends and relationships and professional respect, and not about how much I make. Once again, scum shows he's simply not in my league.
