I admit your baseball handicapping has been very good over the long haul. This was a very tough year for most baseball bettors.I think most bettors were very slow to react to just how bad bullpens were this year. You just never admitted to the fact that you made bad selections this year as prior years formulas or thinking just didn't pan out this year.
You weren't cursed your selection method just didn't work this year.My selection process didn't work for me either as I had my worst season in a long time.I'm looking at betting 1st 5 innings next year so I have a better chance of capping the starting pitchers without worrying about the bullpens.

stop pointing at your sources, no matter what who said what, YOU are the one that told us (not citing any sources) that Pinella was in.

LOL, the funny part is that you start a thread to just PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK with "i nailed it the other day in my thread". relax b/c you were wrong no need to even prolong the thread. cite a source next time instead of one-liners with the word official in it

My first thread was just a prediction with no sorces.

I had absolutly no sorces at all on the first thread. I just made the prediction that I think Pinnella would be the next manager. It was nothing official, just a prediction, like predicting who you think is going to win the game next week.

Well low and behold the next day ESPN comes out with an official story that Pinnela is the next Yankees manager, and I get crusified for simply stating what I saw on TV.

Chop-I think most are getting on you about the way you provided the misinformation.

Why are you getting madd at the person who was only reporting what I saw on TV.

Nobody is getting mad at you...they are laughing at you.

When you have the slightest inclination of doing anything right, you pound your chest like no other on this board. When you are wrong, you pass the buck. You have been that way from day 1.

Carry on with your spaz attack.

I wish you could bet first 7 innings in baseball.

First 5 innings is just not enough of a sample for me to make a bet. I think you need 2 full cycles thru the lineup IMO. But after last year, im certainly going to look into it.

Bailey, do you know anywhere where I can find lines for the first 5 innings for the whole year.

Im going to take all my picks from last season, and see how it would have turned out if the plays were first 5 inning bets.

I don't know where you can find those lines but I am going over my plays from last year and thru the first month I would have had 12 additional winners and only 3 would have gone from win to loss.I'LL go thru my whole season over the next couple of weeks.
By the 7th inning you are already into the bullpen in most cases.Wth 5 innings you are thru the lineup twice for the most part and could put more weight on the starting pitchers.I just don't know how the lines differ for 5 vs 9 innings.I would guess the favorites would be higher lines for the 1st 5 than they are for the game.

chop I think people are riding you because if you would have "just provided the news" like you are claiming you did, you would have had a thread title that said....

"NY Daily News reports Piniella as Manager"

or

"ESPN makes it official: Piniella to Manage Yankees"

and then a post that said "according to espn.com, piniella will take over for Torre. This will be fun.

I think you've been around long enough to know some of these reports are to sell copies. I heard the same reports as you, and it wasnt difficult to see that this sounded like one of those shady reports, with no basis, no official quotes, no press conferences, no source, no telephone calls, which was why I didnt make a huge post about it, and i just made a small post in your other thread.

But the fact is, you made an entirely new thread with a thread title telling people how right you were.....you werent just reporting the news....you tried to pump yourself and say "oh boy arent i great and right all of the time? i called it bitches, who wants some?....piniella is yankees manager...i nailed it again....bam bam bam bam....this should be fun"

Thats the attitude you came off with and you were wrong, it wasnt official, and now people are riding you for it because you tried to act like a know-it-all. Just man up and take it for today, and move on to tomorrow and most people will get over it when you admit you jumped the gun.

You never cited your source CHOP, people asked right away. You ignored them. They're not ignoring you now man. You deserve all the attention you're getting.

You are arrogant beyond words, and apparently unable to just MAN THE FUCK UP AND ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG. You were tootin your damn horn and it backfired on you AGAIN (just like in bases this year). I hope this thread gets bumped for the next three weeks like Newlywed's Late Late Play lol. You want people to shut up? Admit you were WRONG.

What a chump.

Didnt you think that John Mark Karr killed Jon Bonet Ramsey?

Thats what all the CNNS and Newspapers said.

OMG. This isn't just some self-righteous act. You really DON'T get it, do you CHOP?

I'm speechless.

Now this is act is starting to get old. Do you really not understand the reason posters are reacting this way? All you had to do is admit you were wrong to post such a thread. Instead you continue to post blame on others. Unbelievable. Responsibility for one's actions goes a long way in showing one's character.

GEEZZZZ, is it my fault that I quoted from a so-called reliable source?

Its not like I got the story from the enquirer.

What if by some chance Stienbrenner changed his mind and fired Torre anyway. Would the person who started this thread be wrong to.

HEY JACKASS...FOR THE LAST TIME...YOU DID NOT QUOTE FROM ANYONE. WHICH MAKES YOU THE UNRELIABLE SOURCE.

Because I was away from the computer after the post and assumed that many other saw the same thing on ESPN. Im not the only one on this forum who watched ESPN you know. I figured many others also saw the same thing. I made the thread so people could give there thoughts on the hire.

Ummmm, for future reference, the easiest time to quote your source would be when you are at the computer writing your little newsflash.

No one is buying what you're selling CHOP, the little credibility you have left diminishes with every post you make that does not contain the following words: "Wow, I made a mistake. Sorry. Can we move on?"
