Weirdly more confident in the Lakers after that game.

Nuggets are worst defensive team they’ve played so far. Took a hell of a game from Jokic and some good shot making to hold on

Should be a 6-7 game series either way
You might have to reevaluate your thinking….

This is why i think its foolish for anyone to think Lebron is the GOAT. He won 4 championships but move even the slightest things around and he has 1.

Jordan won 6 in dominate fashion.(in many less years played) Once again, went to a game 7 one time in all those championships against the Pacers in either the ECF or 2nd round.(i forget) You can't remove any over a lucky shot or fortunate bounce of the ball.

It's just not close when you look at team achievement and individual accolades. It's actually embarrassingly one sided.

It's also not a great look when your super star can't hit 3s and even more so when they can't hit a free throw(trust me i know)

That's more in other threads though. That one dude arguing that AD played well last night and LeBron was solely responsible for the loss

"It's not AD's team though" lol fuckin Skip Bayless level shit right there
Hahah but it’s not AD’s team. It’s Lebron’s team. He is the one who had this team assembled. So yes, Lebron is the one responsible.

And by the way, AD has played better than Lebron in this series!

I think it makes perfect sense why Avocuckdo licks likes Lebron's so much.

Tough series but given they were 2-10 and thought of as one of the worst teams entering the year this was a good year for the Lakers

Get LeBron foot surgery, get rid of Russell and bring it a little bit more reliable of a point guard and they’ll be in the mix unless LeBron just absolutely regresses

Can make a strong argument for either one IMO. I would give LeBron the edge as the GOAT but I know we won’t agree

Just think he is the overall better player for a longer period of time. Did more things better , was more valuable to his team (though it’s splitting hairs). Can’t fault him too much for running into some all time great teams in the finals.
Nothing changes that from this series. LeBron could really only gain given the Lakers we’re not expected to go this far anyway

He has regressed. Next year will be worse for him.
He hasn’t regressed much overall, much less than one would expect 20 years in. He was averaging like 29/8/7 before the foot injury. Basically his career averages (slightly better actually)

He definitely is more injury prone now, which is the bigger concern compared to his overall game regression.

We will hear about a foot surgery shortly after the season ends I’m guessing. It’s obviously impacting how he plays now. Being way less aggressive offensively than earlier in the year, shooting more jumpers

MJ couldn’t make 3s really. Get the game is different now tho

Worse career percentage than LeBron, though neither were spectacular

Jordan the better scorer, better on defense, gets more steals, both in prime better shot blocker and most importantly has a huge mental edge.

LeBron the much better passer, rebounder, better team defender (though Michael better 1v1), better for longer

Two all-time greats for sure

Jordan was the better 3 point shooter. Jordan attempted less than 1.7 per game so a higher percentage of his 3s were prayers. End of quarter type stuff. Brick averages 4.6 per game with a lot of open looks. The only thing you can compare by % are free throws. Everything else you need to see if it's contested or a prayer.

Not even close to better team defender. Jordan led the league 3 years in steals.

Why didn't he make them? Isn't he Michael Jordan?

GOATs should make those

LeBron better shooting % from 3 and in clutch situations, higher volume of shots too in both cases

Did you ever watch the two of them shoot non-contested 3s? And no one would want the ball in the hands of Brick to take the last shot over Jordan.
