I don't see how his past is relevant or worth emphasizing either way. Yeah, he was a loser by most acceptable societal standards but who cares? He died prematurely because of a bad cop.

Like I said, it is a nice lane to fill if you can get it. You really don't have to say much. Just be a little provocative and you can build an audience fast.
From a policy standpoint, I'd say the best way to help black upward mobility would be a moratorium or drastic cuts to mass migration as importing a new underclass harms the current one in many ways. Bet she ain't gonna tell ya that. It is not even in the Overton window.

Nothing she said impresses me much, just seems like a carnival barker in the Hannity/Rush mold with a different skin tone (and anatomy, which also helps)

I think you totally miss the point of the video. In fact I know you do.
And carnival barkers barked about freak shows. This woman eloquently talks about how a race of people must reexamine its values, heroes, false narratives, and responsibilities. She is spot on. The black culture will never rise to the level of other American cultures until they view life through the lens of succeeding in America like other cultures do. Candace gets it. Her message is hugely important to a better America.
And by the way, I have heard her speak of how illegal immigration hurts the black community more than any other.

She isn't talking about mass migration in the legal form for a reason. Because doing so is untenable to the people that fund her, which is largely how she gains her notoriety and fame. She worked for TurningPoint for a long time during her rise to prominence. This is all there for anyone to see.
