I apologize as well. Sorry I can't give you a pick as I'm running an experiment in the NFL forum. Check it out when you get a chance.

Tally as of now:

randyrohm: KC
Cardfather: Miami
Anthony Richkas: St. Louis
Danny May: Carolina

BTW these probably are the one's I would pick myself. Although the Bucs really showed some character today. I decided I will definitely go with the consensus here.

samstin, just give me a team please. And again Lou sometimes I get a bit carried away and my attempts at humour are misread. I can see how you would easily do so. Peace.

I say Carolina if you can still get the 15 to 1 but that should be falling as they are proving that they are for real.

A Few reasons.

#1. They have a strong running game which will be so important in the bad weather at the end of the season you have to be able to run.

#2. They have strong defense and a good ball control offense so when they get a lead they will be able to hold it. I dont think you will ever see this team lose a game that they have a 10 + point lead in.

#3. They should win their division. TB is tough, but they have to face a much stranger schedule being the SB champs and Carolina didnt do shit last year. As a result, Carolina has a much easier schedule and they already beat TB once. This division is definitly between Carolina and TB.

#4. If they win their divison, they should get a first round bye. With only 3 playoff games, you could either scalp out a guaranteed profit ( if you get 15 to 1) or let it ride and see.

But as always, it depends on the odds you are getting. If they drop Carolina to something like 4 to 1 it isnt worth it. I like the other peoples opinions ( Denver and KC ) as well, all in all it also depends on the odds they are offering.

Gentlemen, in appreciation for your responses and giving me a good excuse for running up my post totals to get my own shirt, I will draw a name Tuesday from those who give me the pick I choose and send the shirt out by the end of the week win or lose.

I guess in fairness to myself I should make my own pick based on odds but whether it is a consensus pick or not, the shirt will go out next week to someone who gives me the team I choose.

I'll tally it in the morning Bunnyman,
but doubt that it will get you the shirt.

I see will have to make my own pick, but someone who's pick is the same as mine will be the proud owner of this one of a kind shirt next week.

This is all about having some fun, but I really am undecided and as I said haven't been following the game, so your serious input is very much appreciated. Good night to all.

Minnesota

Dante having a good year

running game has been good and Bennett should be back 1st or 2nd week in Nov - he may be able to add to that

Defense average

already beat division rival GB on the road

Remaining schedule:
home - tough with Den, GB, Sea, KC, but also have NYG, DET
road - much easier with toughest being at STL, rest are easy - SD, Oak, Chi, Ari

should be able to get through with 4 losses or less, will secure homefield for some of the playoffs, maybe all the way through.

With that offense they can play with anyone in the NFL.

good luck whoever you take.

I would say Tennessee will make the playoffs. Once there ....they should have as good a shot as any if Mcnair stays hot. I am sure the odds would be good. Good luck.

Mr Jones, Is your Bonus Bet with Canbet? I'm still trying to figure out how that deal works.

Good afternoon posters,
The tally as it now stands:

Broncos:
FunkSoulBrother
sandmanfromlv

Rams:
Anthony Richkas
EveryGamblersDream

chiefs:
randyrohm

Dolphins:
Cardfather

Panthers:
DannyMay

Titans:
el diablo

Vikings:
Drunkguy

Bucs:
Patrick McIrish

Saints:
Bunnyman

Da Bears:
Sir Muny

I shall not post the latter two in future tallies for rather obvious reasons. And it is obvious, I'll have to make my own pick to guard against a last minute sabotage effort with a buch of Bears picks.Otherwise the rules stand.

Minnow, yes it is Canbet. They offered a free $30 futures play on either the Superbowl or some Soccer championship as a sign up promo. I will choose the Superbowl. Now soccer is an OK game, and I don't want to say anything negative about it like that it is a homosexual game or anything like that, I would never say that, and instead prefer others others to point out that fact, cause see there are disturbing trends and signs in that game, like all these guys I see with only one name running up and down the pitch, excluding Pele, he was OK, but you see one name my mind conjures up is Liberace, and while he would have looked funny playing soccer, he had all those candlelabras and stuff, now Ichiro is OK too, cause that's a whole different game, there you have to look out for guys named after vegetables, for example Soy Bean, Judge Roy Bean, that would raise a red flag, or should I say red card, and you know Elton John once owned a pro soccer team in England, how would you like to play for that club and have the owner show up in the locker room, I mean I'd be fighting some guy for the last towel real quick, if not running down a yellow brick brick road and certainly not a Hersey highway, to get the hell out of there and I'm not sure any of those guys did, and you know Rod Stewart once played pro soccer in England and I've seen some of the outfits he wears, then again I've seen pictures of his wife or wives and while every picture tells a story don't it, not a clear cut one in this instance, but I'm thinking if this guy had ever played bases he'd of been hitting lefthanded against righties and righthanded against lefties, that's just a nicer way of saying it, but don't get me wrong here I loved the Mick, and the Jones boy in Atlanta is pretty cool, we know about those guys especially Mr. Jones, man he for sure is not suspect, anyway I should never have brought up hitting from both sides of the plate, but what about some of those celebration pix on the pitch I've seen, you'd think they were taken in some bath house, maybe somebody gets a rise out of them but as for me, utter disgust guys, listen I liked and followed soccer years ago thanks to the old Tampa Bay Rowdies, aye a fine bunch of lads they were, all of them were OK I'm quite sure, don't recall any of them having one name but if one did, he would have been OK too, catchy team song also, even though there were suspicious references to "fannies" I dismissed that cause this was my team, oh yea, the fight song, "the Rowdies are here the Rowdies are there they kick the ball around, the Rowdies are here the Rowdies are there and then they fall on the ground", but not in some kind of group grope for sure like in the pictures I alluded to, they were careful, very careful to fall individually if possible, good guys all, Derek Smethurst, Clyde Best to name a couple, but then there was truly the best--Rodney Marsh, this guy was colorful--this guy was cool, hell, get this, he mooned the Queen of England on the pitch back when he played for Queens Park Rangers, bet the Queen liked that and all the other queens in the stands, afterall it was a soccer game.

Disclaimer: All in jest guys

. Soccer is an OK game just not one of my favorites. And I've got nothing against gays. Keep the picks coming. Nice shirt to be had. Thanks.

Gentlemen, I have had to end my contest for the Mike Alstott shirt. I can change deadlines if I want to I suppose. I don't think anybody will mind.

My wife just left to go on a shopping spree and says she will do this everyday unless I change my ways. That gentlemen, I CAN NOT AFFORD. I had been cut down to 7 hours a day on the internet, but I abused this by about 6 etra hours a day. Also she says I haven't been taking my meds for several days and she is right on that. She has read my recent posts and despite my lies to the contrary, she knows that they have given me away.

So, since I am a resident of the Tampa Bay area and know this team better than any other and since that was my lean to from the beginning, that is the team I have chosen. I was a bit shocked, as we all were, by the Monday night fiasco. But after what I saw in the 2nd half yesterday, I feel as Patrick said that this club is the obvious choice. So I have as of now officially chosen the Bucs for my futures bet.

Patrick you have won the Alstott shirt being the only one with that pick. Now of course there are some ulterior motives at play here.

First, I can save on postage and a post office hassle by simply meeting up with Pat for a few drinks and delivering the shirt.

Second, an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth, and maybe a shirt for a shirt. I was after a winning bet yes, but also I have become obssessed with getting an RX shirt and all efforts so far have failed. Maybe this will work. I don't know but its worth a shot. So you see why this was kind of a given.

McIrish contact me, you know how. If I don't here from you, I'll give you a call this evening. The shirt is your's my friend.

Thank God this is over. Thanks to all.
