Ive been to every park except KC, Mont, Comiskey, Houstons new one, Tigers new one. I hate crowds, I usually stay 3 innings at the most. Ill take a college hoop game over baseball, preferably a big west game with plenty of open seats.

Paddy, who says you won that bet? Geez, I am going to bed now very depressed because you hurt my feelings about that comment about me living in my mothers basement, and you said I am laughing it off. where did you see me laughing..

Darryl,

You saw Olympic Stadium?? good job, but don't worry kiddo, you didn't miss much by not seeing a game there live. You were better off seeing it as part as a field trip, as the Big O is no prize to watch a game live there.. And yes, not bad for a Hungarian to see 9.5 live MLB games.. That's 6.5 more than our American baseball fan Paddy boy McIrish.. Hey Paddy, you should be ashamed of yourself. This mad Hungarian Darryl has seen more than triple the amount of stadiums you have seen. I'd be embarassed if I were you sir..

I can't believe Valdosta has never seen a live MLB game. Valdosta might be the only one on this whole board who has never seen a live MLB game. WOW!!

Railbird, congratulations sir, you have just taken over the lead here at rx by surpassing none other than the lovely Wildwilliam.. I didn't think anyone would break his record.. But how come you go to Toronto, and not drive the extra 5 hrs and see MTL too.. For a guy who hates crowds and only sees 3 innings, isn't that a lot of stadiums to attend. 25 or so stadiums and you hate crowds. WOW!! Good job though

Well I've only been to a few, let me think:

Wrigley
Old Comiskey
Dodger Stadium
Jack Murphy Stadium
Camden Yards
Memorial Stadium (Baltimore)

and here's one I don't think anybody mentioned and you probably won't see this one again:

Cashman Field, Las Vegas (saw A's-Toronto a few years back when they were remodeling Oakland Coliseum. Yes, it was a regular season game).

Been to several spring training games and sites as well.

Green Doberman, I was also at Cashman Field when they were remodeling Oakland's Stadium. That's not even a good Triple A park anymore.

I suited up in every NL park that was around in 1974 or 1975 and every AL park that was around in 1976 and 1977. Plus about 40 minor league parks, plus going to games as a kid and teen at Shibe Park/Connie Mack Stadium (Philly up to 1969), the old Polo Grounds (NY Mets 1962), Sportsman's Park (Cardinals mid 60's), Forbes Field (Pittsburgh), Ebbetts (Brooklyn) as a very young kid, RFK Stadium (DC Stadium when I saw the game) Senators mid 60's) and even muggy Colt Stadium (Houston 1963).

THE FINAL CROSLEY HOMER
June 24, 1970 - Eighth Inning

It was fitting that the last game at Crosley should be such a classic game. The lead changed three times in seven innings. Giants, 1-0 - Reds, 2-1 - Giants, 4-3. The first two batters in the bottom of the eighth were Johnny Bench and Lee May. The pitcher was Juan Marichal.

Reds radio announcer Jim McIntyre (with help from his co-announcer, Joe Nuxhall) called the final Crosley Field homer:

"Johnny Bench's home run has just tied it at 4-4, and Mr. Marichal has now allowed the Reds nine hits, and we've got a brand-new ball game here in the eighth inning. Two and two to May. On deck, Bernie Carbo...Now the pitch. Swung on, a high drive, deep center field!" In the background, Nuxhall shouted, "Get outa here, outa here, babe get outa here! I tell ya, out, out, outa here!" McIntyre finished: "...its over the center-field fence! A home run for Lee May! And the Reds have taken the lead, 5-4."
With Tito Fuentes on deck, Wayne Granger got Bobby Bonds to hit an easy grounder back to the mound for the final Crosley Field out. The Reds had won, 5-4 and the final chapter had ended for Crosley Field.
